Alternative Rock music review Catastrophic violence in musical form
War. Catastrophe. Conflict. - Things that are said to bring out the most true and intense emotions in us. Maelstroms that smash through whatever is in their way, engulfing and consuming everything and everyone into a hellish orgy of violence. All that is left is a demolished landscape, full of survivors who will rise from these ashes, gather new arms and continue the violence. While for a time their may be a sorrowful form of peace and tranquility, but it is ultimately shattered once more.

War is the sound of Neurosis's Through Silver in Blood. Their methods of creating catastrophe are too many and too intricate for me to even break the surface of; they range from blasts of vicious, heavily distorted guitars to flawless orchestral sections to industrial influenced sampling and almost anything else available to these musical masterminds. I will make some attempt to convey the pure heaviness, destruction and genius of this album though.

The opener/title track makes its purpose known early in the album with a 10 minute dirge of tidal wave guitars, tribal rhythms, and brutally screamed vocals. Just as you think the song cannot do anything but explode into an immense sonic fireball; it slowly and painfully trundles to a stop. "Through Silver in Blood" is a perfect introduction to the agonizing hour that will then follow it.

While Neurosis's heavy sections are so good I don't even feel the need to comment on them, what really makes them special are the quiet parts. The disturbing sampling on "Rehumanize"; the minimalist, pained, and emotive vocals on "Strength of Fate"; the hollow, mourning, piano section that forms the main part of the funeral march style introduction to "Aeon"; and the tense rising and falling volume of "Enclosure In Flame" all combine with the vicious heavy sections to create all sorts of emotions and soundscapes. I can't help but thing of some demolished, totally leveled landscape when I hear "Strength of Fate", or the marching of armies when the punishing second half of "Aeon" kicks into gear. On the flipside there is a militaristic triumph about the song "Through Silver in Blood", as though an army is marching to war or Godzilla is just about to complete his march through the sea onto some unsuspecting metropolis.

I think that the each of Neurosis's releases after Through Silver In Bloood are masterpieces in their own way. As a band they are a huge influence on the post-metal thing that is being embraced in the form of Isis, Buried Inside, Pelican and Cult of Luna, but also they are the best at it - none of those bands can match the shear triumph, spirituality and emotional power of Neurosis. Listening to one of their albums is like being hit in the face with a brick wall, a totally overused saying while describing this style of music but suits it perfectly.

Alternative Rock music review can't say i've heard this before
i must say, Neurosis is one of the most original and unique bands i've heard in a long time. i hated them the first time i heard them. just sounded like a bunch of artsy-fartsy noise with some fuzzed guitar and tribal drumming. but then i got hooked on a few songs of theirs, bought this and then BAM... i finally realized how incredible they are. i don't quite understand why so many people label them "hardcore." i can't say i enjoy ANY hardcore band, yet Neurosis is incredible. to be honest, Neurosis is one onf those bands that you can almost classify, but then they suprise you with something that breaches any limitation you can put on them. they are as close to hardcore as they are euro-pop. many will never really get this band, and i see why. they are a little strange, they do require some patience. however, for those who openly endure those first few listens, the rewards of Neurosis are endless.

I don't think Neurosis has or ever will record anything that sucks. You'll always see 4-5 star ratings for them because the people who buy their records understand all the elements of what makes good music..."Good lyrics + amazing musicianship =great songs."
If you haven't been introduced to Neurosis, you're either missing out, or, you simply wouldn't get it. If you appreciate music with a message, you will love Neurosis.

As with its extremely successful predecessors, WOW 1998 gathers a selection of the most popular songs by the hottest artists gracing contemporary Christian music that year. The two-disc set has one disc of sacred pop music (the red CD) and one of sacred rock (the black CD). Featured are the likes of Rebecca St. James, Jars of Clay, and Petra on the first; 4HIM, BeBe and CeCe, and Anointed on the second. Oh those crunching riffs! Oh those hooks! Truly an album whose extended guitar solos, intros, and hooks offer hermetically sealed bliss, You're Living All Over Me is Dinosaur Jr.'s watershed. It marks the time when a threatened lawsuit from California hippies forced the "Jr." addition to their name; it also represents a turning point musically. All the parts unite as one: Mascis's tuneless vocalizing; an incredibly loud, Neil Young-inspired guitar style; hard-rock drumming; and Lou Barlow's sympathetic (for the time being) bass work. The record is an assembly line of burning lick after lick, except for "Poledo," Barlow's standout last track (the genesis of Sebadoh-consciousness?). Dinosaur Jr. lived all over Sonic Youth's noise aethsetic (their shows were the loudest thing going, bar none), but they grafted melody and a burnout personality on top, the coolest aspects of rock, circa 1987. --Gene Booth

I'm too tired now to write much, so I'll just say that this is an absolute must-have. Gorgeous hooks, visionary guitar-playing, inspired genius.

These guys sparked a musical revolution with this album. And it still sounds fresh, nearly 20 years later.....

I love Dinosaur Jr. and this album is one of the best there is but don't let the greedy prats who are trying to sell this to you for $70 rip you off. Look around the used-record stores, you'll find 'em if you're patient. Better yet (by far) wait until the beginning of 2005 when Merge Records is reissuing the first 3 or so Dino Jr. albums! I can't wait.

A truly original masterpiece built on the sounds of our sonic forebearers. Quite possibly the best garage rock/ psycheddelic record of all time. Easily one of my favorite records, a must have.

Alternative Rock music review One of the greatest albums of all time...
I've just updated my review of the Oil's other masterpiece album, "Diesel and dust", so I thought I share my thoughts on this classic album.
This album's greatness rests on just four songs, but these four songs form the backbone of Midnight Oil's greatest songs:

The great songs appear in pairs on this album:

Short memory: this is a pop song with one of the most delicious melodies ever grooved into vinyl or burned onto disc...chocolately goodness! Nice slow melody, which peaks to a rock style vocal assault later in the piece.

Read about it: I'm no expert on the origins of grunge, but this could be THE first grunge song ever recorded, and gosh, it is right up there with Nirvana's "Smells like teen spirit"! It has a terrific grungy opening, in the same league as Yes' "Owner of a lonely heart", and the final guitar riff rock fadeout is as good as Nirvana's riff. Classic song. I've listened to this song so often, that I'm in danger of getting sick of it. Nothing that a bout of absence won't cure, and I'll love it even more later.

U.S. Forces-terrific rock song. Interesting accoustic guitar intro-by no means a classic intro, but piques your interest, and then the lead singer scares you when he starts singing and then the guitars get more aggressive. One of music's wittiest songs: "L Ron Hubbard can save your life, Superboy takes a plutonium wife...". Love it.

Power and the passion: the final classic from this album. Has a terrific groove to it. This song has one of the all time great drum solos. Possibly the best ever drum solo. It's so great because the drummer mixes up the tempo and the sounds he produces. I just love the bit with the drum roll and then the sound of breaking glass, and then the lead singer's creepy "ah uh". The end to this song is brilliant too...a terrific brassy finish by a brass section of some description.

So, basically, if you love music, these four songs make the album worth getting. If the politics on this album is not too your taste, the Oil's other great album, "Diesel and dust", deals with more Australian issues, so you might like that better. But the four tracks above are recognized as amongs their best work.

As for the rest of the songs-they are actually better than I remembered and not without interest. From memory, the first few tracks sort of reminded of: a minor punk classic/a broadway show tune/a Hollywood movie song.

If you find other songs on this album to like, great, but with four great songs on it, doesn't that make it worth buying?

Alternative Rock music review My favorite album of all time.
This is, in my opinion, Midnight Oil's greatest masterpiece, the best rock album ever made, and one of the finest albums of any genre.

OUTSIDE WORLD is one of the most unique songs you'll ever hear. More experimental than rock with a pulsing heartbeat-like bassline, erie keyboards, strings, guitars, and drums. An amzing collaboration between songwriting genius Jim Moginie and recording genius Nick Launay. So beautiful and evocative that I am tempted to say it is my favorite track. The lyrics deal with isolation and economic exploitation. This song sets the tone for the rest of the album

ONLY THE STRONG is the epitome of what rock music is all about coupled with a complexity of song structure that many rock groups lack. The drums are absolutely astounding and the guitars sound enormous. Peter Garrett's vocals are ferocious and this studio recording does succeed in capturing Midnight Oil's live energy is a studio cut. The lyrics seem to deal with the subject of political prisoners or perhaps the eugenics movement which wrongfully incarcerated in mental institutions anyone they deemed to be "febbleminded" or otherwise genetically inferior. The magestic outro is beautiful and unexpected upon first listening.

SHORT MEMORY is a 3/4 waltz time Middle Eastern sounding avant-garde protest song about imperialism and war.The message is "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it." That message is conveiged loud and clear in what is perhaps Midnight Oil's most universally applicable piece of musical activism. This song warned way back in 1982 that the CIA collaboration with the foreign Mujaheddin Jihadists in Afghanistan was an act of imperialism rather than altruism. The improvised section in the middle of the song is outstanding with middle eastern guitar riffs colliding with dynamic percussive piano. This song and "Don't Ask Me Questions" by Graham Parker were the only songs I could relate to for weeks after 9/11.

READ ABOUT IT is another of Midnight Oil's greatest rock songs. Distorted electric guitar, cowbell, ultra fast drum rolls, a driving beat, and lush acoustic guitar strummery lay down a heavy duty track.The lyrics deal with ignorance, information warfare, the Cold War imperialism of the USA and the USSR, the nuclear arms race, and the exploitation of working class labor by capitalism and communism alike.The compelling chorus points a finger at the ignorant masses that "wouldn't read about it". Essential listening.

SCREAM IN BLUE is half instrumental, half lyrical. The instrumental begins with heavily distorted atonal guitar riffs twisting their way forward toward another middle eastern influenced surf rock escape with outstanding guitar and drum work by Rotsey, Moginie, and Hirst. This cresendos into an a wall of white noise that reaches a fever pitch before being abruptly cut off in an amazing example of producer Nick Launay's electronic studio wizardry. The feedback and squalor is replaced by a clever jazz influened contra bass line by Peter Gifford and a gorgeous piano ballad reminicent of John Lennon. The song sung by Garrett is creepy and ominous yet beautiful, a sad song about unrequited love.

US FORCES is a protest song about the presense of U.S. military bases around the world. Garrett was very involved in protesting Pine Gap, Eschelon, and U.S. nuclear weapons bases in Australia and the Pacific at the time and consequentlly wrote a song about said issues. The song is as experimental as anything else on the album beginning with the three strummed acoustic guitar chord comming to a crecendo in unison with a dynamic synth patch. This is repeated four times and is quite unusual. When garrett begins singing it is all the more dramatic.

POWER AND THE PASSION is one of the earliest examples of a rock band doing hip hop. The song is built around a drum machine rythym. The funky guitars snake in and out of the beat and the bassline is one of the funkiest basslines you'll ever hear. Garrett raps about the Americanisation and commercialisation of Austrailian culture ending with the Emiliano Zappata quote, "It's better to die on you're feet than live on your knees." The song features a freewheeling drum solo by Rob Hirst the ends in the sound of shattering glass and an intense horn driven outro.

MARALINGA is one of The Oils most underrated, beautiful, and poiniant songs. The melodies are gorgeous and the production is visionary. The lyrics tell the sad true story of the Australian Aboriginies of the small town of Maralinga. Maralinga was the site of nuclear weapons testing and uranium mining and many locals died of cancer while refusing to leave their ancestral homeland. The last verse is emotionally overwhelming.

TIN LEGS AND TIN MINES is a soft piano driven song about high technology and the looming threat of an Orwellian police state.
, "turning to terror as the script is read out". Literary Edgar Allen Poe quoting lyrics set to one of the most beautiful melodies imaginable. The strings, piano, guitars, and amazing drums outro nicely as the ominous harpsichord segeway into SOMEBODY'S TRYING TO TELL ME SOMETHING overwhelms the subtlety with sonic terror leading into the strangest surf rocker of all time.

SOMEBODY'S TRYING TO TELL ME SOMETHING is perhaps about the record companies and Midnight Oil's refusal to sellout to their label's A& R's worthless advice while recording their previous album, the excellent PLACE WITHOUT A POSTCARD. This song is crazy. Garrett screams. Gifford solos on a fretless bass. The guitars play surf rock riffs that sound like Pink Floyd gone punk. There are sudden stops and starts and finally this amazing album ends with an example of electronic studio experimentation that is perhaps the most dynamic outro in recorded history. You have to buy 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to hear what I'm talking about.

Alternative Rock music review As good of a album that you will ever get!
This album is just Brilliant in everyway!, some reviewers quote themselves as speechless when trying to describe this album and i agree. This is one of those albums that you just have to throw yourself into and listen to what the songs are about and how the band compliments each other . You wont be dissapointed, it will give you faith in the positive qaulities and possiblities of music. A True Gem!!!

Alternative Rock music reivew [NoMotiv]
An excellent cd. Can be listened to over and over again. Never gets old or boring. Definitely buy it if you've only heard one song cuz they all rock.

Alternative Rock music review Man, they've got a great sound.
Okay, I got into this band on their later release, Diagram for Healing, and really liked it. So, naturally I was enthusiastic to buy this CD. I popped it into my CD player and immediately thought: what happened to the vocals? The vocals were a lot higher and a little nasally compaired to their newer stuff. I was kind of disappointed and didn't really give it the chance it deserved. So, a few days later I listened again and was really open this time. The instrumentation was fantastic! I still think the vocals could be better, but they still sound good because Jeremy's great at singing. I really like the emotional, dark lyrics. You should buy, but I might suggest listening to Diagram For Healing first, it's easier to listen to. Oh yeah, I saw one review that ended with "Listen to Rufio, also" or something like that. These two bands can't even be compared. Rufio has a horrible New Found Glory style vocalist and really aren't that good. Everyone's talked about how great No Motiv is in show, I'm seeing them in a week!

Alternative Rock music reivew Trent Brings Us Closer
Hey! Hey! Hey! It's time to review Halo Nine: Closer To God. The second single from the Downward Spiral era. This is a rather large single containing nine tracks.

1. Closer To God 9/10: A redone version/remix with slightly different lyrics in the chorus. An impressive song.
2. Closer (Precursor) 9/10:This is the remix that is found in the opening credits to the movie Se7en, one of my favorite movies. It's not the exact version, as the one in the movie is a spliced version of this remix taking the best parts, you can find that version by browsing the internet.
3. Closer (Deviation) 9/10: A very cool slow, relaxing remix.
4. Heresy (Blind) 8/10: very cool in comparison to the original. At times its like an anthem song.
5. Memorabilia (Soft Cell Cover) 7/10: A Soft Cell Cover. It's a good song but I think it drags on for too long toward the end.
6. Closer (Internal) 8/10: The shortest remix and is also mostly an instrumental. It leans more towards the heavier side.
7. March of the F**kheads 8/10: A weird instrumental remix of March of the Pigs. Fortunately it doesn't drag on for too long.
8. Closer (Further Away) 8/10: Takes a little long to get started and is another heavy version.
9. Closer 10/10: The awesome original and clearly the best version. The ending is actually 13 seconds longer than the original.

The price Amazon is asking for is actually really good for this single. I found it in a store and paid twice what Amazon is asking for so this is a good deal. The only problem preventing this from the five stars is that you can only listen to Closer so many times until you become a little bit bored. So it's a little difficult to listen to it the whole way through. If you like the song Closer, then you'll enjoy this single, otherwise the only ones who should be interested are NIN fanatics. If you dislike the song then steer clear of the single despite the three non-closer tracks. Otherwise pick this up.

Alternative Rock music review A great example of creative remixing.
Trent Reznor through Nine Inch Nails has developed a steady habit of remixing large volumes of his work and releasing countless Halos dedicated solely to these remixes. While this is certainly a boon for hungry collectors, fans interested in the music alone are often disappointed by the paltry turnout of a lot of these remix discs. Fortunately, Closer to God is a huge exception to the rule, displaying a powerful mastery of creative and thoughtful mixing practices.

The opener and title track is strong enough to stand on its own, bringing in new recordings of all of the instruments and Reznor's vocals from the original track and giving it a house-electronica influence, but not in such a way as to remove the original spirit of the song. However, it is after this track that the CD really begins to shine. The four variations of "Closer" are what make this album truly attractive. Completely avoiding monotony, each track takes on a certain mood and corresponding genre styling that matches with its mix title. The styles range from ethereal, trip hop, and house, but again (and somewhat surprisingly in consideration of the other, less successful remix albums) without damaging the spirit of the original song. In their particular order, the variations suggest a progressive, evolving story that gives this CD single more of an album feel.

Interrupting the variations are a couple of great bonuses: a remix of "Heresy" (not far off from the original, but definitely a new take on it and just as enjoyable) and a cover of Soft Cell's "Memorabilia" (a frightening track that fits perfectly into this CD). There is also the electronic rhythm track, "March of the Fuckheads", which is interesting, but somewhat unnecessary, as well as a slightly extended version of the original mix of "Closer" that ends the CD.

While this should probably not be anyone's first Nine Inch Nails purchase, if you own most of the albums already or are a big fan of The Downward Spiral and "Closer" in particular, this CD would likely become one the most prized in your NIN collection.

Alternative Rock music review Ya gotta love the song, or else you'll hate this CD
I loved this CD, it has several different versions of "closer", often long ones. I love the different mixes and I rarely get bored by the variety of styles. There are a few other songs included. Sometimes the style of the other songs just does not match what mood the album is putting me in, and I get jarred out of my trance enough to go over and flip to the next song.

I love this CD for trancing and dancing, and sometimes for yoga. (I know, weird. I am.) Very Goth tones make for cool slow moving dancing.

I reccommend this one, although some of his other one song/many versions don't always hold up.

Alternative Rock music reivew great album
a lot of catchy tunes on this album. everybody knows 'scooby snacks'. my favourites are 'fun lovin criminal' and 'king of new york'.. king of new york is about john gotti... although i think factually, it's a bit inaccurate, it's a fun song! i don't know if the late john gotti would have appreciated the "never fly coach never save the roach" bit .. i mean cmon.. we're talking about big john gotti the dapper don not snoop doggy dog the dogfather. if gotti did drugs, which he almost certainly didn't, he wouldn't do pot! heh. but still a great song. i got this album ages ago, and i can still listen to it today.

Alternative Rock music review scratched a lot
this is i think the only album that i've owned and it got so scratched that i bought it again. take care of your cds, dag!! this was the high point in a long and largely forgettable career. and not just cuz of scooby snacks though that song clearly did and still does rule.

Alternative Rock music review Huey finds himself on the other side of the atlantic
The Fun Lovin' Criminals seem to have appealed a lot more to people over here on the far side of the pond than they did back Stateside, perhaps because it appeals to the British idea of what Cool America is like, rather than what Cool America is actually like: what sounded to well-educated British ears like really new, cutting edge, gritty authentic American music, I guess back at home probably came over not so much as authentic as bit middle class, a bit clever, a bit too "wiseass" to be the real thing. There's a limit to what you can get away with sampling - the horn riff in The King of New York is ripped off from a Richard Strauss tone poem, for crying out loud. Boys from the hood don't know about that stuff. Or at any rate shouldn't.

Nevertheless, this record stands the test of time - it lays down a tremendously appealing groove from the its very first resonator jangle, and the combination of that and the New York jazz sensibility (this from someone who knows and cares little for jazz, by the way), the smartarse sampling (*I* like it, even if the cognoscenti don't), Huey's laconic and irrepressibly funning rapping and big, BIG guitars does me quite nicely.

When they first hit the underground scene with this debut album, the Pixies were like an exotic drink that hid its sweetness behind a ferocious bite. The album's production is like a crude explosion: every strum and clang comes down with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. English and Spanish lyrics collide as singer Black Francis (later Frank Black) shouts in a hoarse monotone and Mrs. John Murphy (later Kim Deal of the Breeders) backs him up with throaty wails. Yet somehow the clash of these bruising titans makes for tracks that print indelibly upon your consciousness--once let in. Kurt Cobain is their most famous student. He grafted the Pixies' time-honored craft of the big bang theory onto Nirvana's biggest hits. Alternative Rock music review EP That Started a Legend
The Pixies were without a doubt one of the greatest and most influencial bands to come of the 1980's underground alternative scene. Although they are more recognized for their later material it is the music found on 'Come on Pilgrim' that showed what they were all about. The Pixies recorded a demo 8 of the many songs from the demo (known as the 'Purple Tape') were released as the bands first EP how is it? Read on and find out.

The band starts off slow with the haunting "Caribou", The band goes on with it's pop-hook and melodys withen the agressive "Vamos" and the spanish pop tune "Isla De Encanta". Their quiet verse into loud chorus shows how much their influenced later alternative bands such as Nirvana, their influence is also evident in the guitar sound and rhythm section. The beautiful melodic "Holiday Song" is one of my favorite Pixies song a great riff supported by a great pop-hook. I love Black Frances voice when it's intertwined with Mrs. John Murpheys (Later known as Kim Deal) both their harmonics sound beautiful and at the same time can be agressive. "Nimrod's Son" is agressive with it's driving rhythm acoustic riff, And "I've Been Tired" and "Levitate Me" show great song writing with great pop-hooks and melodies.

'Come on Pilgrim' is a great album from a band that has influenced many and lives on as one of alternatives greatest bands. If your a fan of The Pixies your crazy if your hesistating to put this in your collection. HIGHLY RECOMMANDED to any Pixies fan or any alternative or music fan in general.

This album truly is The Shiznit, whatever the hell that means. I have the first 4 pixies CDs and this one is definitely my favourite. It's a work of genius, the vocals and guitar especially. Having 2 songs about incest on an album takes a certain sort of talent, but putting them back to back? My god, man! But that aside, the other songs have it good as well: catchy choruses (levitate me), twisted surf (ed is dead), spanish punk fuelled insanity (isla del encanta) and genuine beauty (caribou). Not forgetting the towering Vamos, full of crazed guitar squeaking and oddly creepy vocals. And of course that masterful "I've Been Tired" which has the best Pixies line I have yet encountered - asked of his biggest fear, Black Francis tells a flirt "losing my penis to a whore with disease... just kidding. Losing my life to a whore with disease." Try that in your local.

Alternative Rock music reivew Im guna be sick
The best way to describe this band is kind of like Sugar Ray gone bad. (And Sugar Ray isn't that good to begin with, but a billion times better than this) These guys make me sad that I'm from Texas, cause this kind of music just doesn't float here, so it's no wonder they never got popular. Basically this is the epitome of crappy music and I'm insulted a label like RCA would promote garbage bands like this to make multiple cd's and leave Hotwire hangin with just one release. Anyway, buy this if you like pop-like imitators of classic rock, otherwise you'll hate it.

Alternative Rock music review The Best Power-Pop album ever made......seriously.
This review will support the view of most of the other reviews you'll see for this album and this band. Basically a sense of shock and amazement that they didn't hit it big and that this album in particular didn't go straight to number 1 on all the Rock/Pop/Indie charts. This is in my opinion the best Power Pop album I've ever heard. Better than `Cheap Trick', `Big Star', `XTC' and believe me that's praise indeed cause I love all those bands. Sure there are influences aplenty; amongst them most notably would be Beatles, John Lennon and a big dollop of Cheap Trick - but Cheap Trick at their very best. But don't let this dissuade you, the band manages to strike their own identity and draw you in with their own unique sound. Fabulously witty lyrics which will have you singing along and humming in your car on those long drives home or doing the dishes or sitting at your computer writing reviews. Tight, tight playing - not a chord out of place, there's not a track on this album that's wasted. Highly inventive scores on some of the songs reminded me of Queen, not that Sugarbomb sound like Queen, wait though - No I could be wrong (notch that as another influence). But the songs are just so much fun to listen to and really what better tracks have you ever heard than 'Clover' which is in danger of being the catchiest rock/pop song you've never heard, Motor Mouth which is just too good to describe and the deliriously Lennonesque `Posterchild for Tragedy'. As the saying goes it's not what you know it's who you know and I'm sure the same goes in the music industry. This is my favorite CD this Century and likely to remain so unless perhaps Sugarbomb make another album. Here's hoping.

Alternative Rock music review Frighteningly infectious
The lead singer of this band (Les Fairington) is actually good friends of my family, and he recently did some freelance work for the company I work for. However, I was listening to this album almost non-stop for a couple of weeks before I knew it was his band. I stumbled across this disk while snooping through my coworker's music files. Initially attracted by the cover art (indeed, very clever), I decided to give it a listen. From the first chords of "What A Drag" I was hooked.

I mean hooked. Desperately, agonizingly, embarrassingly hooked. People are starting to say things about how much I've been listening to this. "What A Drag" is probably my favorite track on the CD...all the layers and unusual use of effects make it really unique. The rest of the CD is poppy, but in that sort of underground way. Anyone in Texas who is familiar with the band Chomsky from about 6 years ago will probably like this album.

Also, anyone who is secretly fond of that poppy sound, but likes songs with a bit of a more mature content, I highly recommend this album. It is a shame that they're not together anymore. I'd be buying everything they did.
