Alternative Rock music reivew Regeneration rocks!
I love this CD! The message is awesome and it sounds great too. Many people tell me that they don't want to buy this CD because its almost all remix (1 new song)but that's a mistake. These remixes are so much better than the originals, in my opinion.

OK... here we go

1. One Girl Revolution- 3/5 Not my favorite but it has a good beat. Tricia sings great but its not the best on here.
2. Get Up- 4/5 one of my favorites! Great sound here and Max Hsu producer has a solo at the end. Its so much fun to listen to! (also great to exercize to)
3. Me Against the World- 4/5 This is one of the bands hits! You've almost surely heard it on the radio at some point. When you mention Superchick this song comes to mind for people who don't know the band well. Catchy tune, good lyrics
4. Barlow Girls-4/5 This song ROCKS because KJ-52 raps at the end! Plus its so much fun- better than the one on Karaoke Superstars in my opinion. Great abstinence lyrics for teens but fun song for everybody. If you've heard of the Christian rock band Barlow Girl, this song was written for them.
5. Stand Up- 3/5 For those of you who had heard "So Bright" on Last one Picked, you will like this. Its the same song but you wouldn't know it. The extra verse is awesome where the guys sing it and it puts a little hard rock into the former pop version.
6. I belong to you 2/5- This is not my favorite song on the album, but Superchick's weak ones are still great! Its a good song but I think it sounds similar to the one on Last One Picked. Still, its a nice break from the beat of the CD and the Brock sisters sound great.
7. Princes and Frogs- 4/5- This is a song sung only by the guys that was written for Tricia and back on Last One Picked it was called "Song 4 Tricia (Princes and Frogs)" Good lyrics- good beat. About 2 minutes longer than the other one and a lot more developed.
8. One and Lonely 5/5- This song is GREAT!!! I love it and its one of my favorite on the Cd. However, the last track (9) still wins for my fav. Great message for girls but fun for everyone.
9. Hero 5/5- Ok I have to say this is my favorite. It is awesome. So dramatic but if you can handle that its a great message about trying to prevent suicide and the young people standing up. "join the fight for what's right..." I love it. I think its Matt who raps at the end and its fun to hear! He sound like Eminem to me...

This is a great CD. Its fun for everyone and a great gift- I've given it to a lot of my friends. Buy today- you won't be sorry! Hope I helped with your decision.

Alternative Rock music review This rocks!!
I LOVED it!!! I just got addicted to Superchick by a friend and once I listened to the cd I was hooked. The songs are great. There was only one that I didin't like but that's ok. My favorite one is number 9 "Hero" It sends out a strong message and it's dramatic. The thing it's cristian but it's still good. For any teen girl. Buy this cd and you won't regret it.

Alternative Rock music review Great Messages
The songs on this cd are superchick's best by far. I loved One Girl Revolution a lot. My teacher at school even let us listen to Hero because of its strong, deep message.

Alternative Rock music review JUMBO/RESTAURANT
JUMBO ES SIN LUGAR A DUDAS UNA DE LAS MEJORES BANDAS DE ROCK EN ESPANOL, EN LOS ULTIMOS TRES ANOS EN MEXICO, RESTAURANT ES PRUEBA QUE EL ROCK EN ESPANOL TIENE AUN MUCHO POR OFRECESER, FOTOGRAFIA PUEDE SER CONSIDERADA UN CLASICO, BASTA CON ESCUCHARLA UNA VEZ, Y DEJARSE LLEVAR POR LA EXELENTE MUSICA Y LETRA, SIN DEJAR ATRAS SIENTO QUE... MONOTRANSISTOR, AQUI, ENTRE MUCHAS OTRAS, POR MENCIONAR SOLO ALGUNAS, DEFINITIVAMENTE SI TE CONSIDERAS FAN DE ESTE GENERO DE MUSICA EN PARTICULAR, ESTE ES UN CD QUE NO DEBE FALTAR EN TU COLECCION DE ROCK EN ESPANOL, JUNTO CON ZURDOK OTRA SUPER BANDA DE ROCK EN ESPANOL.

Alternative Rock music review A wonderful band
Althougth this is their first CD, I've heard it after "D. D. y ponle play' (their most recent recording). I just have to tell you, Jumbo is way ahead from sounds like Mana or Cafe Tacuba. Yes, and definitely, their sound is more Radiohead, but thy are not a rip-off: they do their own thing. Just check it out. Jumbo is worth listening.

Alternative Rock music review There's still hope for the Latin Rock scene...
Up to date the Latino-rock scene was jaded with the likes of Mana, Jaguares/Caifanes,etc( bands typically overplayed). Not since Jumbo has the Latino rock/alternative scene been given a more definite identity in the last couple of years. Their music is reminiscent of the early 90's grunge era stemming from Seattle. Maybe Monterrey, Mexico has something up its sleeve? Whatever the case, Jumbo, along with Zurdok, are two of the current Latino rock/alternative bands that are paving the way in terms of where Latino rock/alternative music will soon be going!

Alternative Rock music review Hi! I've an armadillo in my trousers!

There are two listings for this title, so I chose the one with the picture. That's because I'm all Hollywood like that.

But the real bad news - is that this title is listed as out-of-print.

Although the real good news - is that I visited the band's website; and John Jorgenson will sell you some of his personal stash, which he keeps in the trunk of his Chevy. You see, he stole the last ten cases of product from Pacific Arts Studio, when Mike Nesmith was passed out from too much Wite-Out fumes. You see, although Nesmith has poor grammar, he is rather a bit of a perfectionist; so his neurotic tendancies are your good fortune here.

Seriously, they're about $18 plus S & H. Or there's of course the z-Shop sellers, some of whom in my opinion, need to adjust their price on this item.

The best news - is that I paid about $8 for my very good used copy from Django's, and found the insert had been autographed by the band! Way!!!

My favorite cuts start with 'Back On Terra Firma', with its Cherokee drums and John's tight soloing. Then there's 'Sweet Dreams', Will's touching tribute to Roy Buchanan. I mean, he really touches them thar' frets, boy! Next, is the classic 'King Arthur's Dream', from I think, Jerry's early Fairport Convention days. Anyway, its surreal B-bent tones will transport you back in time, until you find yourself a fair maiden wandering about the moors, awaiting that lamb slice and flagon of mead. And John's expressive tone on 'Passion' (by the Gipsy Kings), will have you weeping like a liar, and calling all those women you mistreated to beg for their forgiveness.

Gosh! This album is just so chock full 'o string stretchy goodness! Mom! Buy me the Hellecasters! Please!

Alternative Rock music review Unbelievable
Unbelievable is what you will say when you first hear this! Amazing guitar. Like nothing else out there. This and Danny Gattons Unfinished Business are the two best Guitar albums period. If you love guitar, buy this!

Alternative Rock music review Amazing!!
I came across The Hellecasters by accident. I was trying to find a fiddle version of "Orange Blossom Special" and came across their version. It is the greatest instrumental ever!! I have never heard such string bending, sliding, picking etc. These guys know how to play, and every single song on this album is nothing short of amazing. There are some great three way harmonies all over the place, and each guitarist gets to show off their skills individually - John on "Back On Terra Firma" and "Passion", Jerry on "Menage: The Beak/The Claw", and Will on the awesome "Sweet Dreams". I am a guitarist and this is a must for any guitarist. Everyone should hear this. Simply the best!!

Alternative Rock music review Buy This One....The Best Yet!
I live in England and just saw Robbie Williams live at the NEC in Birmingham as he started his UK tour to promote his new CD "Sing When You Are Winning". He is great in concert! He sold out all of his concerts within an hour of them going on sale. The US does not know what they are missing with this guy. He has a few new releases that are great, as well. He has a duet with Kylie Minogue that is equally as great. The Rock DJ video, though, will be hard to beat as his best yet! It is a new sound for him with the rapping, but it is definitely worth it. It is very catchy and now that I know all the words to it, I love it even better! Buy this single and also make sure to get the entire CD. You won't regreat it!

Alternative Rock music review Rockin' Robbie!
One of the best songs I've heard. Catchy tune (stays in your head after awhile), upbeat tempo, and most especially, A GREAT (and Surprise!) VIDEO!

(Why does he have to remove ALL his clothes, though?)

Alternative Rock music review Just wait untill you see this video on MTV
I"ve never seen a video like this in my life.I love this song, and the video is funny, but wait untill Robbie takes it all off during the strip tease, and I mean, down to the bone.I didn't think video's could go any farther.Boy was I wrong.

Alternative Rock music review Speechless
Shane Bernard and Shane Everett by far produce the best music I have ever heard. Like another person here, I first found out about them at camp (crosscamp) two years ago. Since then they have joined with the preacher of the camp and began the 'waiting room' ministries. It just so happens, that the preacher is my favorite, as his insight and approach is unique and raw.

But back to this cd. I have heard no music like it. Most christian music, like one review already mentioned, tries to imitate secular music too much. I listen to this music and I don't feel 'music industry' like I do with most christian music. I feel the joy, hope, and the beauty of God. The acoustics here are brilliant, with *amazing* rythms and harmonies. The vocals are equally amazing in their range and harmony. They are icing on the cake of this beautiful music. The lyrics are genuine, original songs of worship. And the songs with the violin are just as beautifully aranged. This is a MUST have for any Christian.

I recommend their album 'Psalms' just as much as this one. The fact that they sing actual psalms (not all the tracks, just 7 or 8 out of like 15) is just so enriching and genuine.

My best musical purchase ever (well, tied with the Psalms album)

Alternative Rock music review Rocks Won't Cry Rules!!
I love this CD and recomend it to everyone! This CD and Psalms by Shane as well are my two favorite CDs I listen to them all the time. Shane uses amazing lyrics from the Lord and his awesome ability of playing the guitar so beautifully to make this CD the best!

This music is so great and uplifting. It's sort of like my motivation to follow God.

Alternative Rock music review GREGORY RULES
I have been a huge fan of his since I was in 7th grade, about 8 years. This album is awesome, unfortunately I no longer have it, but I do have a previous release of the same album, but there's some different songs on it, and all of them are different recordings. He has a few newer albums out, I have one called The John Doe Sessions, produced by John Doe formerly of X and it is very good. Josh Freese plays drums on it (Vandals, APC). Gregory Page is the best singer-songwriter from the San Diego area. Check out the Hatchet Bros. featuring Gregory and Frank of Loam. Gregory Rules.

Alternative Rock music review One of the best albulms ever!
I have loved this albulm for years!!
This is an example of excellent writing and music making.
Please make more of his stuff available.

Alternative Rock music review Excellent CD -- Buy it if you can find it...
A friend of mine works for a radio station in Cambria, CA (KOTR, 94.9) and he recommended I check this out about 4 years ago. Gregory Page has since become one of my favorites. Get this if you can...you won't be disappointed. My only complaint: no new CD since 1995!?

Alternative Rock music reivew Good, but Poses Better
For a first major album this one is pretty good, but save your money buy the non-import... The "one" bonus track is not worth the extra $$ unless you're a major fan.
I like to have an album I can listen to over and over again. Buy Poses or Want One/Two.

Alternative Rock music review This is a great album
And if you do so like it as I then keep your eyes out for the soundtrack for the movie "The Myth Of Fingerprints" for he has two tracks on there that are my very good. As well the whole of that soundtrack is incredible......

Alternative Rock music review The must perfect musical work in years
I was watching MTV and suddenly I saw this really bad video; but, nevertheless, the song was amazing. I couldn't believe that such a great song had such a bad and crapy video. Some how, and I don't know why, I decided to buy the C.D. cuz there was no single out. I've never been so glad about purchasing an unknown music article. Incredible! Track after track I was surprised by the perfection of each song, I was completly astonished by the perfection (there is no other word) of this entire musical masterpiece: the lyrics, the music, the instruments, the vocal arrengements, every single detail... Its wonderful! All the songs are completly wonderful and I have to say this is defenetly the must perfect musical work I've heard in years. I guess only Rufus could beat himself.

Alternative Rock music review A Shame This Band Broke Up!
Unlike most CDs, all of these songs are good...the ones that you won't like too much at first will grow on you. The same goes for Far Too Jones' other CD, Picture Postcard Walls.
A great band. Buy it. Trust me.

Alternative Rock music review Great band.. CHECK OUT THE NEW BAND
One of the Greatest bands to come out of NC in my opinion.. This is a great disc, not quite as good as Picture Post Card Walls.. You can tell they were trying something different to see if it would make a difference. But none the less it is definitly worth buying..

AND for you FTJ fans, check out the band the The Clear!! Far Too Jones does not exist any more but.. The clear is a new project from some members from FTJ.. You can check out there home page at [URL]

Alternative Rock music review a lyrical gem
I have owned this cd for a little more than seven months now, and I can truthfully say that the only time it has left my cd changer was when I went away for a week (then it just never left my portable cd player.) This is because of the final three tracks, which are all just absolutely beautiful. I listen to them every single night before I go to sleep-NO, they do not put me to sleep, rather they're the kind of songs that you really should listen and pay attention to as opposed to, say, playing them in the background while you read or do your homework. "Ballad of Mary," is, in my opinion, an incredibly clever song about the Virgin Mary-clever in the sense that it took me upwards of three weeks to realise that that was what it was talking about. Its really one of those songs that you can take and interpret in any way you want. The message of it sort of reminded me of Better Than Ezra's "At the Stars" just because of the chorus: "This small town has got nothin' left/For a couple high school prom rejects/But this old car has got a new headlight/And you can sleep while I drive." I would have bought the cd for that one song alone, but all the songs are great. This is the sort of cd that draws you in musically, with powerfully played guitars, but then keeps you listening for the great lyrics, which are the real treasure on this album.

Alternative Rock music review Several Here are Missing the Point
Several reviewers have lamented the song choice on this CD, apparently blind to the fact, despite it being crystal clear in the title (go figure), that it is a collection of A-sides (read: singles). Thus, any complaints about songs being left off should be directed to the band, label, and/or whomever decided what tunes were going to be singles on each album. That said, this CD is a strong compilation from a great singles band (which is not to say their albums are weak), though it offers nothing new to the already initiated, besides the awesome and enlightening liner notes. So if you are new to BT, this is a nice, cozy welcome to their sound and its evolution. If you arent new, buy it for the notes and glean some nice nuggets o' information straight from the horses mouth(es). peace out.

Alternative Rock music reivew distinctly average
This album is pretty good but not that great compared to some of their newer stuff. They have a few pretty damn awesome songs on this album like vanilla sex or professional crastination, (i prefer the rancid verson of vanilla sex meself :P)but like i said there's alot better albums like heavy petting zoo or pump up the valuum. But give it a shot it's has some pretty darn good songs on it i'm just not sure if it's worth buying :P d/l if ya want tis rare as hell tho lol

lol also he can't sing yet :P

Alternative Rock music reivew NOFX first effort
this is NOFXs first record and when you listen to it you could prolly tell but it doesnt make is there worst record like everyone is saying its just as good as the other records. ok the review now all of the songs are good just some better then others, like you can tell what songs they took time to write and ones they just threw together, hence the 4 star rating.

Alternative Rock music reivew vanilla sex is a sik song
i dont own this album, i probably never will. NOFX would b proud, i ripped them off and downloaded vanilla sex!! Stick it 2 the man, man. But yeah, be good and buy this album, put vanilla sex on repeat coz its a good song.
