Industrial music review This SO rules!
Oh baby! Get out to the nearest record store and buy this monster NOW! It is really a change in direction from the "Horror Stories" era garage type stuff but, it rules just as much! Teenage girls and free cocaine? How can 'ya go wrong? This is the kind of rock'n'roll that makes you want to smash a bottle of whiskey over your head and punch a perfect stranger in the face! Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh! Pure thug-punk moronics and super-bad rock'n'roll. The Dwarves rule!

Industrial music review The Dwarves never fail
Blag is GOD, and this album proves it. That's rock n roll

Industrial music review Yes,
One of my favorite bands. I have both of their albums, which are great. Kling Klang Bedlam is probably better overall, but there are some excellent tracks on this one as well.

Industrial music review trust me on this one...
This is quite an amazing cd. I'm not one for labeling music, so i'll just say it's just music that can get you high. I feel a dizzying state overcome me when i listen to this band. The group consists of 2 brothers from Texas, i believe. One does the music while the other does the vocals. The music is quite textured, kind of drags your soul about in a sweet way. Electro-ish beats with crazy efx and sampling, quite spooky and haunting at times. The vox go from distorted skinny puppy/ministy-ish to sweet, gloomy serenades. I've yet to meet anyone who has heard this band, they appear to be highly under-rated, but trust me and get this one...

Industrial music review Beautiful, super-cool industrial beats
This is a great album! combining cool industrial sounds with both male and female vocals across fourteen excellent tracks. Personal favourites include "everything", which is a beautiful but hard-hitting industrial epic and "this fire", one of the more poppy, but still wonderfully crafted songs. Buy it!!

Industrial music review The dark beauty in the machine
When this project was initially underway, Victoria Lloyd sent me some of the demo tracks and I knew immediately that this was going to be a classic among EBM/Industrial dance fans. The enigmatic Daniel Meyer worked with members of Claire Voyant on some of the songs as well as a few other notable music figures in the underground, in order to tweak some of the best performances out of the combined group.

Although this is a slight change of pace of Meyer's previous works, it nonetheless creates a new benchmark for the artist to demonstrate that it is possible to skirt with various genres while still remaining loyal to fans from other work and genres.

One of the long standing debates in the underground scene has been the contention that Goth music hasn't evolved or that EBM/Industrial/ Synthpop has taken over too much of the Goth fan's attention.

HMB did the seemingly impossible. They combined the morose and forlorn emotional tides of gothic music, wrapped it up with frothy electro/industrial pulse beats and skewered it through many vocal intonations. Simply put, this CD is a brilliant piece of work that crossed the genre boundaries, signifying that Goth music and industrial music can in fact have a great marriage when enough forethought is given to its construction.

Daniel Meyer is to be lauded for the accomplishment of delivering a new body of work to his already well known classic works with Haujobb. Meyer brought out best sounds from the various artists who contributed to this project and simply disproved that Goth music is a static entity, unable to develop or venture beyond its tonal old school qualities from the 1980's.

Victoria Lloyd has had quite a following from her work with the Claire Voyant, and simply demonstrated that she is not a singular range vocalist. Her sounds can go from smooth as silk to seductively wicked in the span of a breath. Lloyd simply seduces, soothes, caresses and entices vocally, while Meyer is the musical whipping master, driving listeners into a frenzy. Along with other Claire Voyant band mates, Chris Ross and Benn Fargen, the additional evolvement of their abilities is simply brought to an innovative height to a whole new audience through the genius of Meyer.

Do seek out this recording if you like industrial dance music. Also if you are prone to Goth music with a bit more bounce to it, this should become a welcome mlange for your collection.

Industrial music review WickED
I am a huge Haujobb fan, and now I am a huge h-m-b fan! This album has songs that will be classics I am sure. "Wanted" and "This Fire" are easily my favorites and the sultry vocals of that siren are beyond compare. I am happy to see it released in the US.

Industrial music review Excellent
This CD is incredible. One can really hear a little of each person contributing, although the strongest influence, to me, seems to be Bryan Black (hALObLACK). It has a very minimalistic sound, with light guitars and quiet vocals. And if you like it, check out the newer one on Re-Constriction, called Helium. It's got a few songs off 0.01, plus some NEW tracks!

Industrial music review The perfect mix...
Hellbent, a collaboration between Haloblack, 16Volt, Thrill Kill Kult, and Chemlab. When four revolutionary industrial bands decide to join forces there's only one result...the perfect mix.

Through the tight, fuzzy, guitar samples and electronics protrudes the intoxicating percussion rythms. The influence of Chemlab is apparent, but without the distorted vocals that's almost a trademark of the Chemlab foundation. The vocals are kept at a mesmerizing state, touching emotions that will put goose-bumps on your cranium, and fit nicely within the intelligent bass lines.

It's obvious that each track was created with thought. Enough can't be said for the electronic effects. Variety is the name of the game with this episode, leaving no shrapnel unturned. Hellbent will set your free.

Industrial music review This is a hit without hits' disadvantages.
A great industrial track, with a beat that sticks into your mind and the correct attitude in vocals. VNV Nation remix is great (as most of their remixes) giving the prototype more dancing abilities and entirely new melodies. The other two tracks are good, with the distorted psychopath - 02 rmx the most impressive.

Industrial music review Worth it for the VNV Nation alone
An excellent single. The VNV Nation remix is amongst their finest work. Not only does it rework the original in a heavenly manner, but it proceeds to venture into uncharted territory all its own. In addition, Johan Van Roy does a fine job of remixing his own (and "Fragment of Torture" is a reinvention of the title song). Truly essential.

Industrial music review Thee Throttle set to music
"A Hollow Cost" was one of the first recordings that Genesis P-Orridge created following his arrival on American soil during his so-called exhile and the first full release he did with Invisible Records. It was recorded during the time that Genesis was engaged with providing background music/sound for Timothy Leary and it would seem that Leary's spoken word presentations played heavily into this recording. It would also become the template for GPO's later work with Thee Majesty.

The spokenwork portion of the album is an extemporanious rendition of GPO's written work "Thee Throttle" with additional material culled from older PTV lyrics, William S. Burroughs quotes and fresh insights. The musical accompanyment was provided by Larry Thrasher which draws upon found sounds, manipulated audio clips and bits and pieces of the sessions that would become the basis for the last Psychic TV (2) album "Trip Reset."

Industrial music review contagious, radical, and highly evolved
while the constantly evolving back drop of "cathedral engine" (larry thrasher's acoustic ambient score for the album) is no less significant, hollow cost focuses more specifically on the essence of the spoken word.

Industrial music review GENESIS IS A GENIUS!
Genesis P-Orridge has done it once again. He is one of the masters of spoken word. This album in my opinion is one(because there are so many) of his masterpieces. This album is one song.....which is about 70 minutes and the truly amazing thing is that it was all recorded in real time! It's beautiful and disturbing at the same time. I love this album so much it's hard to describe my feelings for it in words. All I can say is that it's art pure and simple! It takes you on a ride through gardens and dark forests.....it soothes and scares the hell out of you as you go through all the emotions in this epic adventure. For true avante garde music fans only!

Industrial music reivew Why is this no longer sold?
Not every song on this album is on the same level, but some of the songs on this album are simply brilliant. Hard beats, yet not redundant like Trance. It is a shame it never caught on. For a preview, you might check out www.delerium.com.

Industrial music review Every Bill Leeb fan should have this album in thier collection.
If you can get your hands on this album then take it, you won't be dissapointed. Other than Delerium this album is one of Bill's better side projects.

Industrial music review Ichiro Tsuji has done it again
How can Ichiro Tsuji's one-man-band, Dissecting Table, keep releasing so many great albums? As of the time of this review, he's got at least 15 albums out on many different labels. Human Breeding is one of his most consistent efforts and belongs among the classics (including Dead Zone, Zigoku, and UPD2). You'll recognize a lot of the same samples from previous albums, but Tsuji isn't guilty of recycling material. The songs have more of a "rock" feel to them. This isn't DT's dark ambient side. Most tracks feature pummeling drums throughout. "Least Mean Square Algorithm for Personality Alteration" is, in my opinion, his most "rockingest" tune to date.

If you found this recording, chances are you have some idea what to expect. If you have enjoyed DT in the past, you'll definitely want to pick this up while it's still available. It's definitely worth it.

Industrial music review Awe-inspiring.
Definitely yet another great Dissecting Table album filled with sheep bleating, growling death-metal style 'vocals', lots of awesome, pounding sequencing and pure noise. Totally ominous, totally unforgettable. If you like industrial, DHR or noise music, get this now.

Industrial music review Pulverize yourself!
Since 1990, the maniacally brilliant Ichiro Tsuji (who goes by the moniker Dissecting Table) has been putting out some of the most synapse-stripping recordings ever committed to the pits 'n spaces. Like this one. If Kodo had been kidnapped from their island retreat, locked into isolation tanks, deprogrammed with war-crime footage, shot full of nootropil, forced to listen to an endless tape loop of J.G. Ballard's ATROCITY EXHIBITION and then given direct neural inputs to synthesizers... this mad, mind-mangling mess is what they would have come up with. DT is blowing away self-censored minds on all sides of the Atlantic and Pacific; buy it and do it NOW.

Industrial music reivew Deutsche Musik um Besten
Upon comparing this band with Rammstein as well as Oomph!!!, I would argue that these three bands all have their equal merits. Rammstein appeals to the soul with entertaining, poetic lyrics and nearly perfect fluency with riffs. Oomph!!! is comparable to Rammstein in that the flow is very similar and the main difference is the content of lyrics in the songs...in my opinion, Oomph is not as hardcore as Rammstein. Megaherz is unique for singing about God in many of their songs and for many songs in which S & M is directly mentioned or hinted at. Despite the repetetiveness of several songs, they all stand out as wonderful songs on their own right. My favorite songs are (in order):

1.Es tut weh
2.Gott Sein
3.Herz aus Stein
4.Kopfschuss

Industrial music reivew Good, solid album
This is the American version of Megaherz's "Wer Bist Du?" album. Unfortunately it's the only one of their albums that's domestically made, which is why I chose to get this first instead of "Herzwerk II." I can't say I'm as impressed with this as with what I've heard from their other albums, but it's still a good album. The only problem is that Alexx chooses to rap for most of the album. And yes, I mean rap. I guess this album could be described as hip-hop metal, but in this case that's not a bad thing. This album is very well done.

The highlights:
Gott Sein
Wer Bist Du?
Schlag Zuruck
Licht
Krone der Shopfung
Tanze Gehen
Die Gedanken Sind Frei

Industrial music review This is a good CD
I think Megaherz is a great band for people who enjoy rock music in general. Its not too heavy, but heavy enough. Its alot of fun to rock out to and have fun with.

I would in no way compare this band to Rammstein. Megaherz, although German, is not nearly as hard as Rammstein. Megaherz has their own unique sound and music. I love all the songs.

Industrial music review The end of the world , ALL HAIL THE NEW FLESH
This is quite possibly thee most crushing album in existence. The drum machine blast beats could split the earth to its firey core.Filthy black metal spite from the bowels of hell embelished with with dark ambience.Revell in the destruction.

Industrial music review finally a worthy soundtrack for the endtimes
like the sound of great sheets of metal pulled by the wind over the crumbling mortar of an abandoned factory the consumate sense of despair and futility that permeates this album is enough to send the weak willed running for the pills and razor blades. this is the black metal i always knew was possible. the typical judeo christian nonsense and pictures of somewhat homely naked goth girls ignored in favor of paeans to world collapse and urban decay. the programmed drums blast endlessly at inhuman speed, the vocals sound like an animal slowly bleeding to death as it chews its leg off in a futile attempt to escape from a beartrap, the noise/ambient parts rival anything to come out of that scene in ages and add gloriously to the sense of total and complete decay...brilliant. simply brilliant. when planes fall from the sky again, when the water supply is long since poisoned and weeds push up thru deserted streets...two things will survive. cockroaches and the axis of perdition. heil to the new kings of true black metal. welcome the end.

Industrial music review Diamond In The Rough
Okay, so I'm pretty sure 99% of you have never heard of this band or this album, but if you're in the least bit inclined toward black metal you should buy this today. Now I'm not talking about the newer, toned down stuff like Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir. I'm talking about the darker, less commerciably viable brand of Black Metal. This is the kind of music I imagine Satan would play if he wanted a soundtrack to the apocalypse. The vocals sound deranged and possessed and are some of the best I've ever heard. The guitars are the average downtuned, eerie tones trademark to black metal, however are much more interesting than the mundane, primitive 2 chord progressions alot of black metal bands use. This is also the one instance I think I've seen in which a drum machine actually works better than a human drummer. A human couldn't possibly flesh out beats this fast and constant. This is all topped off by an uncharacteristally good production unlike the barely audibly fuzz alot of black metal bands use. Buy this today, granted you may have to search a bit but it's worth the effort.
