This one did not have a lot of hits, but this is a fine album! Great vocals, lryics and production. All the track a very good. Highly recommended to any Dance Club music fan.

Quiet Storms was the first tape of Michael Hoppe's that I ever bought for our 15th Anniversary. We were hooked. I have since purchased "The Yearning"...and the "The Poet Romances for the Cello". They are my favorites in my CD collection.I highly recommend them to anyone who truly loves beautiful music.

Stylistically, this album fits somewhere between Vistamix and Sound On Sound. There's yet another track of "Do You Dream In Colour" (I've got it on two other albums) & what I'm relatively certain is a different mix of "Living In My Limousine" than appears on The Two-Fold Aspect Of Everything.

The tracks are driven by vocal & guitar; lacking any other handy notes, but a memory of something Nelson wrote in Two-Fold, this was about the era when he was recording band-oriented ideas solo & fleshing them out a little as part of his extensive "electronic notebooks" with the intent of doing a serious job of it later with other musicians. So, they're a little rough, but this lends an edginess so often lacking in synth-heavy music.

If I had to pick a favourite track, it'd be the very first: "Banal."

This is a particularly fiery show from Girlschool and features some standout tracks.From the opening blast of C'mon Lets Go the band sounds great and never lets up,the crowd is really into it (i think the show was recorded in Japan 1982?) and the atmosphere is intense.
I'm really glad i picked this up -first rate heavy rock.

i basically bought this cd for the EXTREMELY hard-to-find song, "the way to your heart", by soulsister, a #41 hit in 1989. but there are also major hits from the 80's here as well, like "c'est la vie" (robbie nevil), "don't forget me (when i'm gone)", (glass tiger), "walking on sunshine", (katrina & the waves), "telefone (long distance love affair)", (sheena easton), "simply irresistible", (robert palmer), "the future's so bright, i gotta wear shades", (timbuck 3), "let's go all the way", (sly fox), "bette davis eyes" (kim carnes--the only #1 song in this collection), and another rarity, the minor hit "really sayin' somethin'", by the fun boy three with bananarama. overall, it's an intersesting and eclectic mix of songs, sure to bring back a few memories of a time when pop music was truly fun and exciting to listen to.

PRODUCERS HAVE A TENDENCY TO CREATE THE SAME RHYTHMS, AND SAME BEATS. RAGGA DANCE IS THE FIRST CD I HAVE HEARD WITH REGGAE RAP SINGERS, AND TECHNO DANCE BEATS. EASY TO DANCE TO, AND EXTREMELY UNIQUE LYRICS- THIS CD IS A WINNER, WHICH EVERYONE WILL SURELY COPY.

Mike Score of the orininal Flock of Seagulls has done it again whith his new band members. This is a beautiful and touching song. I highly rate it and recomend it to everyone. This song drove me to tears the first time I heard it. It starts out with a beautiful melodic tune from the keyboard followed by drums and bass. Once you hear it you won't forget it. Mike may be older but has not lost his touch for writing beautiful music.

If you are a true two-tone fan, you know this British band is a legend. Although most of Bad Manners' cd's/LP's are hard to find, including this (hence the name RARE & FATTY) this is a sure pick-up if you see it. The only negative aspect to the album is it's length, which lasts only 6 songs, and as soon as you open up to their crude ways the album ends.
