Ska music review party people i'm moving my feet
The cd impressed me big time. but what really got me was when i saw them in concert in san franisco. when a band can sound like they do in person as they do on the cd, thats when you know they are good. at the concert they got my friend dancing up on the dancin floor for the frist time in his life. I strongly recomened this cd and if you dont live in cali just wait a little bit cause i think they are good enough to tour and sell out big shows!

Ska music review What is Real? That is the question.
This CD delivers all the right questions and some very positive answers about whats wrong with our culture and how we can look at life from all views and get something positive out of it. It makes us look at ourselves and a society that is strong on opinion and weak on making a change. This generation needs to know there is more to life than the money tree we all use to gauge happiness. The voice here isn't from the left or the right, it is from the results of our misdirected cultural values. Even in the depth of the pain there is the hope and Faith in the Human Race.

Ska music review Wowie Wow Wow Zow!
First of all, I am the Ska Masta. That's why I call myself 'Ska Masta Skibble', but not in public. I bought this little gem off of eBay and just recieved it today. I'm listening to it right now, as a matter of fact. This CD is catchy, skanky, funny, and most of all, catchy. This album has just risen up the ladder of ska and right up there with big shots like Edna's Goldfish, Potshot, and Mu330. If you're a ska fan, buy. Buy for the love of god.

Luv,
Muttz!

Ska music review The best Reggae albam you'll ever find!
It has two classic cd's put together and fits in with some of the best reggae artists ever such as Bob Marley, Sublime, and so on.

Ska music review great stuff
Classic Toots! This is as good as it gets from the old Jamaican reggae. Don't pass on this one.

Ska music review Awesome
Toots is like a Jamaican Marvin Gaye and James Brown rolled into one. His voice is so real and every note is sung like his life depends on it. How you can listen to this album and not want to shake your a** is beyond me. It is virtually impossible to be sad and listen to this album at the same time. Always an uplifting experience even when he's singing about being broke or being in jail.

Ska music review MAKES YA WANNA DANCE
This is an outstanding album by a band that crosses musical boundaries and offers a little something for everybody. Using jazz as a starting point, these guys incorporate ska, reggae, blues, and swing into their music to give it a really unique sound. Besides being a great band themselves, they've brought in some legendary guest musicians to record this album. The popular Jamaican saxophonist Roland Alphonso, Lonnie Jordon, who was the hammond b-3 organ player for the band War. And Rico Rodriguez, the lengendary trombonist from Jamaica, who formed the first ska band 35 years ago. Some of the highlights on here include the reggae song PIGEON CLUB. The latin inspired COSTA LINDA and CLAO MARCELLO. And my favorite on here SUMMER COME LOVIN', which is the highlight of the album, and shows off talents of Alphonso and Rico. A lot of the music on here I swear I've heard before, I'm just not sure where. Much of this album has a kind of pop jazz sound that's very listenable, kind of like the old Henry Mancini music you used to hear in the movies. This record is never boring, and the infectious rhythms really keep you on your toes. One minute you want to put on the headphones and kick back, the next you'll want to get up and do a rock steady dance, Jamaican style. Jump With Joey are a very likeable band, and this is a great album that comes highly recommended.

Ska music review Guaranteed to promote booty-shakin'!
This band manages to distill the essence of pure PARTYIN' onto disc, and yet its albums, all released in the early '90s, were unavailable domestically until '97. Ska! Salsa! Reggae! Swing! You name it, it's here, and it's all jumpin'. Thanx to Ryko for making these titles available... hopefully JWJ will go back into the studio and capture a little more of their spirit for us. This is where the ACTION is!

Ska music review EXPLOSION OUT OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA
Fun Size has become one of my favorite bands over the last two years. Just when I thought nothing could beat their last full length, "pop secret," They released this one and it completely blew my mind away. It's really fun, happy boppin head music that ranges from pop to punk to rock. There is even an excellent cover of "Salvation," by the Cranberries-Pop punk style! PICK THIS UP!!!!

Ska music review Great songs, but "The Business" is better
A FANTASTIC COLLECTION! But, for the money, maybe you'd be better off pitching some extra bucks in for the 3-CD boxed set, "The Business", which has all the singles (A & B-sides) plus a few rarities. Another question: why didn't they hang on and include the new "Lovestruck" single on "Heavy Heavy Hits" to give the fans something new, more than just another recycled collection of hits.

Ska music review Faultless!!!
There isn't a bad song here - all there is to say really

Ska music review Another Great CD from the Skatalites
This CD is great! I'm rocking back and forth to each song and swooning to love duets of Stranger and Patsy & Baba Brooks "Yea Yea Yea Baby". Skatalites recorded the best ska music. Sadly their fame lasted two years and founding member Don Drummund killed his girlfriend Marguerite, also a singer, and then later killed himself in an institution in 1969. They leave their legacy of great hits for us enthusiasts of Jamaican music.

Ska music review Slice of pure ska heaven
The perfect antidote to the idea that the whitened, insipid, post-Two-Tone dreck masquerading as "ska" nowadays is even close to being worthy of the name. This is the pure sound of early 60's Jamaica - it swings, it captivates, and most of all it conveys real feeling. Genuine ska is among the most uplifting of musical forms and here it is purveyed by the masters such as Justin Hines, The Maytals and, of course, the *only* ska band worthy of the name : The Skatalites.

Buy it.

Smash Mouth has done it again. They keep sending out the hits that totally rock. This Re-done song "I'm A Believer" is the next best song to "All-Star", which by the way is on this single, with a remix. This is a must buy for any Smash Mouth fan. Keep up the great work Smash Mouth!
