If you don't own the Liberator singles, which always have bonus songs on them you haven't heard before, this is your cd. It contains all single and "b-side" songs plus some extra songs that you cannot even get on cd.

This cd is absolutely worth buying and especially the five songs taken from "Carefully Blended" will take your breath away. Not just SKA, Liberator songs are works of art! Lib On!

I was rummaging through my collection of LP'S the other day and found this piece of gold.
Bad Manners truly at their best, who could ever forget the Fatman strutting across the stage poking that big fat tongue out at every one who'd care too look.
Brought back a lot of happy memories.
I'd advise everyone to go out and buy a copy, let's get SKA back in the charts again, let's show the youngsters exactly what good music was all about and not push button techno of today.

I have had this record in vinyl for twenty years or more. It is brilliant. Now,finally it is available on CD- buy it.

Thats all I have to say about Skinerbox. King Django, Jeff Baker, has a great sound. His means of mixing music makes it great. Check out his other band Stubborn All-Stars, they too rule!

Shootin goon are a seven peice punk and ska band from Cardiff in the u.k. Their music varies from a range of energetic and infectious ska to relativly light punk rock, and could be compared to the likes of less than jake (in the sense of lots of horns and catchy rythms) and catch 22 (with their fast lyrics and riff's). My top three songs on the album would have to be (although it is a close call) Rick loves jo, which has to be one of the most inspiring songs to skank to ever! Creep, dunno why i just love it, and Bradley.

This is a brilliantly rounded punk and ska album well worth the purchase of any dedicated ska fan, or any person who enoys seeking the talent of relatively small bands.

Do not let this opportunity to purchase what WILL be a long time favourite in anyones collection pass you by, i cannot stress how good this album is, all i can say is "keep dancing"!

Megalith and Jump Up joined forces to compile this series. This should give anyone interested in 3rd Wave ska an idea of what the sound is all about. You may not hear them on the radio anymore (most of them not at all), but you'll be briefed on 88 bands, whom you can look up anywhere. I got this collection when it first came out. There are several bands I wasn't familiar with and have since started collecting thier CDs.

This is NOT a collection of Rancid clones. There is a broad spectrum of styles on this album, from old-school to mento, gospel to ska-core, neo-cumbia psychobilly to rock-steady to dance hall. Yes, there ARE bands doing this, from the past ten years and many are roughing it out despite the lack of commercial popularity of ska. There are songs I don't like (the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones track on this album is probably the most boring of all), but there are songs that have replenished my faith in musicians my age. Yes, there is a market for this, and I'm part of that small demographic. Please keep going, guys.

For $20 you get tons of ska, and not just one kind (like rock-steady or skunk). Plus it is kinda of like a sampler to find out about bands you hadn't previously heard of. If you are tired of the same old ska, or if you want to find some new great band this , or like ska at all then buy this.

This has got to be the best compilation ever created, of SKA or anything else. Every band in America (and the best from Canada too) are right here at your fingertips! I do a SKA show on the radio and I could fill my whole two hour block with this on shuffle and still please my audience 100%. Rock Steady SKA, SKA-punk, reggae jammin' SKA, Third Wave style, Second Wave style, even old school first wave sounding SKA, swinging SKA, acoustic SKA, one man band SKA, just plain SKA type SKA- you name the kind of SKA you like and it is in this collection. It is brilliant and incredibly low-priced. Please, help out the locals while sampling the mainstreamers at the same time, and check out this miraculous compilation of SKA music. It's a great price, and these bands need the money- so quit burning this stuff from your friends or wherever and help save SKA!

There have been many imposters in this style but Puzzlefish are the original kings of hiphopfunk ! Solid guitar and vocal work from John and Brian not to mention the powerful drum history that has followed this band from the first time i saw them back in '95 with the incredible druming of Darrell Grey. This band has been imitated by the likes of Limpbizkit, deftones, Kid Rock and Zebra Head but to no avail. Puzzlefish remaines the undisputed kings of hip-hop funkery!

Substandard is simply...the best. I love The Manson Army and More Punk Than You. Anyone who stumbles across this should order it...You will not be disappointed!
