This an awesome CD that will minister to your soul especially if you like the song stand. This is also a CD that will minister to your heart mind and soul.

I know this song is almost ten years old, but I just discovered it a couple of months ago and I love it so much. The lyrics and music, which were written by Donnie, and his voice are all wonderful. This song really ministers to me. It signifies how I try to follow what Jehovah wants for my life by listening to my heart.

Donnie McClurkin's voice is illustrious. The lyrics are captivating.

I have been listening to Karen since i was 7. she is off the hook!!! I know every song on this album, just about, and memorized every note riff and run!!! It is absoloutley my favorite cd, this is a classic and will never run out of print!!!! GET UR HANDS ON IT!!!

So great I bought it THREE times. If it got scratched or lost... I went to get it again. BEAUTIFUL!!!

This is by far one of the best, if not the best, female inspirational albums... Karen has a sheer, true talent for singing... I don't know if she writes her material or not... but whoever does, BIG BIG KUDOS!!!! This is an EXCELLENT Album... the song "Gotta Right" is just awesome... "Can't Take It" is a song that EVERYONE can relate to or Will be able to relate to at some point in their life... "Praise Festival" is a low-key feel good song... I mean, all the tracks are great, I can't say enough about this album... Karen has that VOICE... hard to explain, she's just got it... she was born to sing... All I can say is young or old you should enjoy it because it's not too modern... but not too traditional either... she's right there in the middle giving you just what you need... I think every track beginning to end is wonderful... but the standout track... and I think many can agree... "Jesus Is a Love Song." I mean this is what Gospel is all about.... I had the cassette for this (before I got into CD's) and then I saw it in a CD case a co-worker had about 4 years back and traded a few of my prized cd's for this one in exchange... fearing I wouldn't be able to find it on my own! (before I knew anything about online shopping) but nevertheless... it's a prized possession... I would actually buy an extra copy just in case something ever happens to the one I have now! Yes... it's that deep :o) The songs on this CD have healing power... If you have it ENJOY IT.. if u don't have it.. GET IT GET IT GET IT GET!!!!!

Alright...Im going to say this only once....BUY THIS BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY...for those of you who read my reviewS know that I rarely give 5's...but this was just beyond logic..... the producers, the BGV's, the guest appearances, need I go on. If you've never been introduced to any of the Clarks..., this is the CD to purchase.
From beginning to the end the CD is brilliantly produced. Your yoke will dissipate, and your joy will increase... and you shall have strength like never before. Just for Me (written by Kelly Price).., is a great personal song more of a "in the closet prayer song". "Nothing without you" which feature Faith Evans...is great...........I realize that I am nothing without you...which is great to hear come from someone who doesn't sing gospel music..I give Evans her props for acknowledgment. Praise Festival is also another contempo melody...here I believe J Moss pushes the rap...but there is a version with Karen pushing the rap....it's nice....."I can't take it"....is a GREAT song for someone who is good at concealing their pains....I know it ministered to me. The remaining of the CD is the live portion of the CD...which is produced by none other than the musical genius D.Lawrence.....Which also features Tri-City Singers at the best.....the Clark sisters back in our eyes with old school jams....and the introduction of KiKi to the rest of the world..(cause she was already doing big things in COGIC before this)...D.Lawrence must have been a great student in school...and then to be a fan of the Clark sister really help him to pull these songs off...Jesus is a Love Song, is a Clark classic...written by Twinkie Clark in the 80's (from the Conqueror Album)...GREAT REMAKE...it really makes a difference to the present generation that the remakes are close to the originals ...because we can't find these recordings.....I really appreciate D.Lawrence not putting a big spin on the remakes...Balm in Gilead (which is another T.Clark composition that appeared on the Heart and Soul album) was just STUPID..I mean what better song to pick for the single.....POWERFUL...and INTERPETTED BETTER THAN THE ORGINAL (YEA I SAID IT)...however. ...they are not that much different. Holy thou art Holy reminds me of something Mattie Moss-Clark might have done.....really nice arrangement. and Tri-City sings under the annoiting ...Heaven is nice...sounds like something that might have been on a Tri-City Album....Couldn't Tell it If I Tried..(OMG)...Karen just told the truth...even if I tried....It would take a llllllong time....A Praying Spirit....(yet another T.Clark composition that first appeared on the Count it all Joy Album)...beautiful interpretation of this prayer.....The Will of God is another oldie that appeared on an old Mattie Moss Clark recording back in the day...but this introduces KiKi Sheard.....someone else who will carry the torch onward.....Also if you can...get the video...the Clark sisters also touch Pure Gold..which is another GREAT song....These songs have meaning that reaches the very pit of the soul....and can cause a great change....only because they are scripture-based......BUY IT....THIS IS A MUST HAVE....

Karen's CD has provided healing for ten years to date. I was junior and/or senior in college when I first heard her CD. Ten years later, it is one of two CDs that I listen to on my way to work. For Healing, Intimacy with God, thanksgiving and praise to the Almighty, this CD is a must.

I like the Clark sisters music, I have been listening to them since I WAS A CHILD. My mother always played them Sunday morning. I really like the old songs. " Is My Living In Vain?", " Jesus Is A Love Song" God's word is the same and the message that these songs give will go on forever.

I had worn out my tape of this and was so glad to be able to purchase the CD. These songs all helped me after my father's death. The songs don't get old, they almost have a life of their own. My favorites are...Pure Gold and Is My Living in Vain?

This cd is simply amazing! From Is my Living in Vain to Expect a Miracle you can feel the annionting these ladies have from the very begining. This cd triumphs alot of gospel cds because even in the time that it was recorded to now you can still relate to everything the Clark Sisters are saying in these songs. On this cd my favorite is Speak Lord because Karen Clark Sheard ministers in this song to every and anyone. The way she recites the scriptures makes you feel the presence of God. This cd is definetly up there with You Brought the Sunshine, Count it all Joy,He gave me Nothing to Lose and Heart and Soul. You can also see the growth and evolution of these singers over the years and as each cd comes out.

The songs are uplifting, insightful and certainly have carried me through some tough times. I love the title. It says it all. I really did not know who the Clark Sisters were when I purchased this item. It was the title which attracted me and I have not regretted it. I am a committed fan. From start to finish, this album is truly amazing.

Is My Living In Vain- All 5 sisters take turns singing parts of this, and when they get into it, it is truly magical, of course they get a little help from really cool organ and WICKED percussion , in a good way.

Ha-Ya - My favorite track . It's a discoey funk that celebrates a Hebrew tongue for Christ.

Salvation - I was listening and singing along to this song while driving home from work last night. It features the almost never featured Jacky Clark Chisholm on lead and is probably her best singing ever. Ya gotta feel bad for her , tho. Always being overshadowed by her younger sisters.

Now is the time - Gorgeous ballad with all sisters singing together.

Pure Gold - This track explains to white people why us black folk go to church. Listening to this and tell me it doesn't put you back in the church pew on a Sunday morning. A very young Karen Clark makes this number shine.

Overcome - I like the harmonies in this one. Their mother takes the lead on this one.

Speak Lord- Baby sister Karen outdoes herself again.

Expect Your Miracle - This is a Clark classic. The sisters sang this on TBN sometime in 2005 with Donnie McClurkin and Kim Burrell. Ms. Burrell honestly thought she can do better vocal acrobats than Karen. Isn't that sad?

This is a WONDERFUL CD an an excellent price. You are missing out if you haven't heard it.

I bought this after hearing one of the songs on the radio. This CD is awesome. One of the best CD's I've heard in a long time. Haven't taken it out of my car stereo yet and it's been 2 months. I highly recommend this CD. You wont be dissappointed.

Everything was great from the ordering of this product to delivery and then the CD which a very blessed project, I am very pleased in my choice and will always use Amazon for buying these products.

I don't particularly care for choirs but I sure am sold on Arkansas Mass Choir. The songs were articulated well. What I enjoy the most is it does not present the typical gospel choir format. Will be adding this cd to my worship.

This cd is great! It has wonderful choir songs that are both traditional and contemporary. If you love choirs you must add this to your collection.

I have enjoyed all three of the WOW worship cds. It has brought back fond memories and I am just enjoying the current popular songstoo.

I was very excited to be able to get WOW Hits 2005 since I wore out the one I had. The only problem was, I received only one cd and there should have been two which made me very disappointed.

I am a great fan of the WOW series. I have all of them dating back to 1996, and the 2005 edition proves to be another strong edition to the series. This two CD set delivers a great mix of music from Christian artists from the previous year. This year they got the mix just right I think a great mix a slow and fast, newer artists with established acts, and smoother CCM with edgier Christian rock. Another great set, and affordable way to get some of the year's best songs.

Years later this is still one of my favorites of the WOW series, unless 2009 brings out something better. Great uplifting music, still one of my favorite and most-played CD's!

From the stirring moments of Mark Shultz's "Letters From War", Selah's "You Lift Me Up", Avalon's "You Were There", and Mercyme's "Here With Me", all the way to the upbeat songs, WOW Hits 2005 is a definite favorite.
My favorite song is a song listed above, Avalon's "You Were There" from their 2004 release The Creed. This song is about Christ being everywhere "in the midst of danger's snare" and "in the unclear", and also about Him rising from the dead. The perfect song for Easter, this song gets my vote for the very best.
Also featured on this spectacular compilation is Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, Newsboys, Stacie Orrico, tobyMac, Jeremy Camp, Third Day, and more.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!:)

My review is long overdue. This is one of my favorite CD's - and if you look at the back of my CD, it shows! What a talented song-writer and performer. The CD is packed with a great mix of some of his finest songs. Don't limit yourself to this CD alone - every project of his is worth adding to your collection. Praise God for his inspirational music that spans the generations. Enjoy!

Great Cd! Love his music and his message. I plsy him alot snd he is very comforting and inspirational as well as hip and upbeat. If you have never listened to him, this is the one to start with.

One of, if not THE, greatest CD that Chapman has ever compiled. There aren't any words for his songs. They hit "home" in ways indescribable. "Not Home Yet" will forever be my favorite SCC song; I based my entire high school valedictorian speech on it. By far one of my favorite CD's that I own. I'd recommend it to absolutely anybody.

I really like Steven Curtis Chapman's songs. The music is very good guitar-driven rhythms and the lyrics are great. This Greatest Hits cd captures the best songs from the first half of his career (First Hand to Signs of Life). I wish it would have included "Let Us Pray" and "I Will Not Go Quietly", but other than that I found it to be a wonderful way to hear a lot of his songs. This CD is a great place to start you SCC collection; I'm sure Greatest Hits 2 is in the working to gather songs from his latest cds (Speechless, Declaration, All About Love, and All Things New). Now go out and get it! (I would have given it 4.5 stars but amazon does not allow that yet!)

Great collection of hymns we all hear every Sunday. The sound quality is great as well as the musicianship. Highly recommend it.

A beautiful collection of classic church and worship hymns- orignally released by Madacy(budget)music label as a single CD of only 33 tracks(disc 2 of this complete 3 disc set). Performances by 1001 strings, Joslin Grove Choral Society and others- contains the classics "Sweet Hour Of Prayer", The Church's One Foundation", "Redeemed", as well as a few nice intermedi pieces like the intro to Handel's Messiah. Highly recomended for the Christian music library.

This is a nice updated version of some really great hymns. The selection of hymns is very good with meaningful, worshipful lyrics. Some are coupled with contemporary choruses. This is a nice sing-a-long CD for meditation or a long drive in the car.

A great, great compliation of worship from fantastic artists that has been terrifically woven together. Seamless in its presentation and rich in its worship of God, you cant help but be drawn into His presence. The opening track by my favorite singer/composer Chis Tomlin sets a high bar with "O Worship the King", but the rest of the collection just continues to impress throughout. I love this CD and recommend for anyone that can read the Pslams and understant Who it is all for and Who it is all about!

I have all the Passion series and this is the best! Very inspirational-

This album is a refreshing mix of hymns with a twist. Passion does an excellent job in instrumenting the hymns: keeping dynamics both traditional and modern. Most of these hymns have new choruses or bridges added, which mostly augment the songs and lead the listener into deeper worship.

What I like most about this album is that there is room to reflect the lyrics of the hymns. When singing hymns in some churches, the organist can tend to just run through the hymns quickly without time for reflection or deeper worship. This dynamic Passion album often repeats lines, verses, or choruses and has musical interludes to allow the listener to participate instead of just listening.

I purchased this cd online and couldn't wait to play it. Most of the songs are very soothing and relaxing, some are uplifting and joyful, but all in all every song is absolutely encouraging. During a time of burdens and lows, it came just in the nick-of-time. Thank God for this beautiful collection of songs by CeCe Winans. :)

I received this CD as a gift from my best friend who is much more familiar with gospel music than I am. It seems like most people reviewing this album already are blessed to know Cece's work, but let me tell you anyway how incredible she is!!

From the smooth and soulful opening track, "Mamma's Kitchen," I knew this was going to be a special CD. Listening to "You Will," I get emotional from the hope and encouragement that radiates from that lovely song. Cece's delivery is so sincere, the tone of her voice powerful and sweet at the same time. She is vocally gifted, putting this God-given talent to wonderful use.

Other songs I really enjoyed are the sublime "Purified" which makes me feel like I am laying on a sun-kissed beach watching the waves roll by as a relaxing breeze blows in my hair. "Let Everything That Has Breath" is such a high-energy, praiseful song with an uplifting rhythm and message. Other highlights for me include "All That I Need" and "Colorful World."

Since this wonderful introduction to Cece Winans, I have bought her self-titled CD from 2001, featuring great gospel music you can joyfully dance to! I also have "Thy Kingdom Come" and would like to get more of her albums. What more can be said? Praise the Lord for giving us this music.
