I am not sure what happened, if my internet cut off or what, but while in the middle of downloading this song internet explorer stoppped the download. Customer service was really nice and returned my money and I downloaded the song again with much ease. The song came out great and it definitely is one of Coldplay's best

It is a great song, it's just too bad they couldn't credit Joe Satriani for writing the Music like any decent artist would do. Oh well, that's why they have copyright laws. Someone else commented that they should have had Joe play on the track - BRILLIANT! Anyway, I hope Joe gets the credit he deserves and Coldplay trades in their Grammy for a poetry award.

This disc taught me a lot about video display and is definitely worth the $10-$15 dollars. After running this I was able to notice a lot more low-light detail than before on several BD movies. I ended up having to turn off almost all of my XBR6's advanced features to get things to look "correct" but after I did I was much happier with the picture!

Get this disc to ensure that your Blu-Ray picture is top-notch.

Well I ordered this to help me set my 60" Samsung and it was more of a history lesson about TV signals and picture quality. The very few things that did give you the option to adjust you TV settings had no corresponding help guides to let you know if you were even doing correctly. Huge waste of money. I am paying Geek Squad to have a professional calibration tech come fix my tv. If you are a serious Videophile and have spent more than 2K on your Sound and TV system get it done correctly by a profession no DVD will help you.

A little to much information on the history of television, but the software does a good job on calibration and really improved my Samsung 58" Plasma picture. It took about 45 minutes but without the history lessons. If I need to calibrate a new TV it probably only takes about 15 minutes or less.

I would get the regular version vs. Blu-Ray. If you ever want to watch the DVD on another player or lap-top that's not Blu-Ray you're out of luck.

Conclusion: Compre el cd etsa bueno =)

I love Aventura big fan but I gotta say I'm a little dissapointed with this last album. If is suppost to be THE LAST they should of went all out with there talent. The reason why I say is not to good is because Mike's rapping talent was once again not acknoledge, Henry did only got one song which is preaty good but is missing his vocals in a lot of the other songs as a back up singer, the guitar sounds the same in most of there songs Lenny should of spice it up like in the last albums. But not everything is a dissapointment because more than 5 songs are grate to listen. I like the salsa song la curita is just grate that comes to show that everything they touch is turn into gold, the one song where arturo sandoval is colaborating with his tronpet and bachata is grate, and last but not least the colaboration with the outer genre artist like Wisin y Yandel, Wyclef and Luda was good.

Well overall I'll say is worth the money after all is THE LAST. But to me there best album is always going to be WE BROKE THE RULES where everybody's talent is acknoledge.

Absolutely astounding! Though it took over 3 years to be released, it was well worth the wait! Standout tracks include the title track and 'Riding the Crest'; one of the most catchy songs I've heard in a long time. Too bad us Americans have to import it :(

If it were officially released here, I'm sure it'd have a lot of commercial viability!

You will never forget my advise for the rest of your life. All the songs are good, not even one is bad, you will play this one all the time, in your car or home. It's a melodic pop music, with the best voice of the business (MORTEN HARQUET). Yet another great a-ha album. This time, with a throw back to their earlier sound- but very modern and definitely not a copy of anything they've already done. Morten has one of the best voices ever in pop music and a-ha have been producing some great music for years. It's so frustrating that America considers them a " one hit wonder." I agree with another reviewer- poor marketing keeps them out of the American spotlight. I've been saying it for the past four albums-- but I bet this one would do really well in America if America knew it existed. I'm American and when I talk about a-ha, most people don't even know that they're still around. Very strange. Just keep talking about it...maybe it will catch on.

The album marks a return to the classic pop sound that made a-ha one of the biggest acts in the world. The ten new songs carry echoes of the band's early signature hits: 'Take On Me', 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' and 'I've Been Losing You'.
If you like the first album Hunting High and Low and Mayor Earth Minor Sky, You will love this one!

What a fantastic album, start to finish. Possibly the world's best (and certainly most underrated!) pop band takes off the gloves, goes back to the synth sound that made them global stars years ago, and takes back what Keane has tried to steal. The first single debuted high in Europe, entering the charts at #3 in some countries, and will definitely crack the top 10 in England - just like their album and lead single Analogue did 4 years ago. And once again, America will miss out. Blame radioplay. Blame poor marketing. Or just blame the unfortunate 80s label they've shed everywhere else but in the States. Buy it, listen to it, and love it. 10 stars.

I'm a Yanni fan and like all good fans I'll let Yanni put out his choice of music and I will listen to his music. I love the music and I like the vocals BUT together they do not meet the standard I've come to love about Yanni. The singers, especially Nathan, are excellent. He has a wonderful voice and duets are amazing.
I would have liked to have some English translations for the CD but I'll learn the words sooner or later.

"Voces" is the Spanish-language companion CD to the simultaneously-released "Voices," the first studio recordings from Yanni in six years. A collaborative effort by Yanni and award-winning producer Ric Wake, only a few of the songs appear on both albums. "Voces" features ten Latin American vocalists (including Nathan Pacheco, Ender Thomas, and Chloe, who appear on both recordings). Some of the singers wrote their own lyrics to Yanni's music and others were penned by Karla Aponte. I understand very little Spanish, but the passion in the voices speaks volumes and no translation is needed. Both albums capture the electric charisma of Yanni's live performances and both fairly explode with the joy of making music. I tend to be very partial to instrumental recordings, but I love both of these albums. "Voces" also contains a one-hour DVD that features samples of most of the music on the CD plus several performances from a concert in Acapulco. On the DVD, Yanni and Ric Wake speak English, but most of the singers speak Spanish. Like the songs themselves, translation really isn't necessary and it's fascinating to see the singers perform and interact with Yanni.

All seventeen tracks are enchanting in their own way, but here are some highlights. "Voces" begins with "Ritual De Amor (Desire)" performed by Ender Thomas. This song is on both CDs, but what a powerhouse! I love it! Next up is "Llama De Amor," a smoldering ballad by Olga Tanon. I don't know what she's singing about but she draws on passion that goes all the way down to her toes! "Y Te Vas" is an incredible vocal version of Yanni's classic "Keys To Imagination," sung by Andy Vargas. Cristian Castro sings "Ni La Fuerza Del Destino," based on "Face in the Photograph," a gentle, beautiful melody and a voice that is perfect for it. "The Rain Must Fall" has been one of my favorite Yanni pieces for a lot of years, and Jose Feliciano makes it his own as "No Ha Dejado De Llover" - a delightful surprise and a great arrangement! Chloe and Ender Thomas are smokin' in "Quedate Conmigo" with voices full of emotion without going over the top. Lucero's voice is like plush velvet, and her take on "Eterno Es Este Amor" is gorgeous. "Volver" is a fun-filled take on "Someday," performed by Willy Chirino, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, and Ender Thomas - sun-soaked energy! "Yanni & Arturo" is a charming duet for piano and muted trumpet. Chloe also has an amazing voice and seems to be able to sing just about any kind of song - especially power ballads. She reins it in a bit on "Que Te Vaya Bien," and lets the expressive beauty of her voice carry the song. Jose Jose closes with "Volver A Creer," based on "Reflections of Passion." Once considered to be the greatest Latin American singer of all time, pneumonia and alcoholism seriously damaged Jose's voice, so his return to the stage to sing this song was especially poignant.

In the years since Yanni's last album, many people were wondering if he was going to record again. Both "Voces" and "Voices" clearly indicate that Yanni is still at the top of his game. If you are concerned about buying both albums, don't worry about it. The duplicated songs (I think there are five) are among the strongest tracks on both CDs, and it's really a pleasure to hear them repeatedly. The DVDs are also completely different from each other, so buying both packages won't be a waste. Highly recommended!

I have both CDs & DVDs but Voces just touched my heart!

After reading the various reviews here I decided to buy both Voices CD/DVD & Voces CD/DVD. After listening to both CD's and viewing both DVD's I made my decison. I really enjoyed the Voces the best. On voices the music is very good but seems very rehearsed, professional and polished. I don't feel any passion or heart from the singers in the music. The only song I thoroughly enjoyed was 1001 which is the instrumental by Yanni. That is the only song I keep playing over and over on voices.

When I play the other songs on voices my thoughts seems to drift off. For some reason it does not hold my attention or move me like voces does. I did view the DVD and thought there was too much talking not enough music. They should have put the talking in the behind the scenes section at the end of the DVD. I do plan to see Yanni in concert. Both are very good Cds I think it is matter of style. I do like latin music and when I heard the cd it just moved me as soon as I played it I could not get enough of it. Christian Castro - wonderful. Olga Tanon - Great voice, Lucero has a sweet voice. Ender and Chloe I enjoyed. My favorite singer is Nathan Pacheco. He touched my heart! Wow! What a voice! Aturo Sandoval on trumpet is Awesome! The duets on this CD Voces are incredible!

This CD just moved me more than Voices did. Other people are moved more with Voices than Voces so I think it it matter of style. Do as I did if you can. Buy them both and make up your own mind.

Oumou Sangare is the most popular female singer in Mali and alongside Salif Keita she is arguably the country's most famous musician.
She began in 1989, and ever after she became celebrated in Mali as a unique female songwriter who dared to use her songs to challenge conventions of how women are treated in her world.
As with her previous albums all the songs on 'Seya' were written by Sangare.
Now, at 41, she has grown into a majestic mistress of many moods who presides over her musicians with regal confidence and occasional hints of humour.
"Seya" - which means 'Joy" - is her first album in six years. On this album she shows why she is one of the most significant African female musicians alive in this stunning set in which she marries gutsy lyrics about poligamy, underage forced marriages, sensual love, and the role of women in modern African society to her seductively zippy Wassoulou music.
Sangare's bewitching voice dips into irresistible layers of xylophones, percussion, guitar and brass riffs played by a host of fellow Malian greats.
This feisty and formidable lady (standing almost 6 feet tall) continues to push the boundaries with her happy and breezy songs, many of which have an uplifting and sometimes danceable funky groove.
Produced by Nick Gold, the man responsible for Buena Vista Social Club, there's nice detail from key guests like Pee Wee Ellis and Tony Allen.
"Seya" sees Oumou Sangare attain a new level of sophistication, maturity and variety, all underpinned by her trademark funk-driven Wassoulou sound.
Highlights: "Iyo Djeli", "Mogo Kele" and "Koroko".
All in one word: fantastic.

Oumou has turned a corner. At one point she blurs out lower, rapid fire lines that have the effect of a psychedelic Malian cattle auctioneer. Gone is the syrupy veneer of Laban's (the Africa-only release from which the new tracks on Oumou were culled) heavy-handed production style. Where that one newly focused on keyboards and programmed drums, Seya returns to a more directly human touch. Not at all raw like Radio Mali, but still real. Born of the human connection that only happens when the focus is on human hands creating TONE, much of Seya feels less like a studio album than it does an awesome set of get-down grooves from the main stage at the Festival in the Desert.

A few of these tunes still aren't set up the way I'd dream about them, but that's okay. Not everything in this world is built for my pleasure. I focus on what I love, and there is plenty for me to love here. This is the Oumou Sangare album for which I've been waiting since Ko Sira. Her singing here is untouchable.

I bought this elsewhere, and early last week I received email confirmation that my order had shipped (!!). I had Seya in my dirty little hands late last week. I don't know the names (or lyrical content) of any of these songs yet. I've only held the digipak once, and that was to take the disc out and put it in the cd player, where it's been spinning 'round and 'round ever since.

I've already shed tears to it when she and the band get into the Bliss Zone. This album has quickly turned into one of my favorites from Mali, my longtime favorite country in Africa for modern music. Music like this... Oumou's voice... how are music, art and love at this level not the antidote to war, terrorism, raping, kiling, greed and brutality the world over? I've been in the toilet (emotionally, not literally) over a health situation for quite a while now. Aside from my usual pain, I've felt nothing but joy since this album arrived.

Oumou is a gift to us all, and I feel this album places her at a new peak in her artistry. This, Segu Blue and Abacabok are 3 of my favorite Malian albums since Red & Green.

I was on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx last week and this CD was playing in one of the stores. I recognized Eros's voice from a song he did with Andrea Bocelli a few years back and bought the CD. From the moment I started playing it I knew that this is a very special CD. His voice, the orchestrations - all great! I have stopped listening to commercial radio -there just isn't any good new music being played these days. My understanding of Italian is very limited, but somehow Eros's music gets through. Listen to the samples of his songs and you too will be hooked!

I don't know how to describe this great musician. I think that something important to say is that I'm able to speak Italian because of his music. I don't know what he does but his songs are not the classic "POP". He actually describes human feeling as no one else does. What I mean? Songs like "Sta Passando Novembre"(a song that talks about suicide). In this album all songs are great but there are some special songs, at least for me a person who suffers from depression, that I found truly special.
"Il Cammino"/"El camino"
"Ali e radici"/"Alas y raíces"
These songs talk about someone who is trying to on in Life even if everything seems so hard, It can be about love or any other goal.

"Come Gioelli"/"Como un tesoro": It talks about the beauty of a children's smile or a mother's kiss, about the real treasures of Life.

"Parla con me"/"Dímelo a mí": I find this one truly special because of my condition (depression). It talks about someone who is having so many problems and needs someone to listen to him...
It says
"Parla con me, Io ti ascolterò e non ti giudicherò"
ENGLISH: Talk to me , I will listen to you and I won't judge you.

There are other several beautiful songs. This CD is a piece of art.

This was perfect for my wife who only seems to really listen to their hits and ignore the rest of the album. I think it's a good selection of songs though. Green Day has made quite a few good ones over the years. It's like being back in 6th grade.

Green Day has become one of the most legendary punk bands of all-time. This collection, 'International Superhits!,' spans their Reprise years, 1995-2002. Although the legendary 'American Idiot' isn't covered (it wasn't released yet, obviously), you still get a great set of 21 legendary classics.

Green Day's music is simply amazing. Billie Joe Armstrong has the ultimate punk rock voice, Mike Dirnt is a great bass player, and Tre Cool is a great drummer. This trio is a trio not to ignore, and if you're just getting into Green Day, buy this set.

So how does this set measure up?

Positives
-EVERY MAJOR REPRISE HIT IS HERE!!! 'She,' 'Basket Case,' 'Longview,' 'Warning' and 'Geek Stink Breath' are all here for your listening pleasure.
-THE SOUND QUALITY IS EXCELLENT!

Negatives
-Why aren't the early Lookout years (1990-1992) featured on this set? The original 'Welcome To Paradise,' 'Green Day,' '2000 Light Years Away' and their great cover of The Who's 'My Generation' are all missing from this set.

Overall, you can't go wrong with this set. Highly recommended for any Green Day fan. ENJOY!!!

I like this album, although I prefer their last one, which benefited a lot from the production of Manu Chao. Considerable attention has been given to the first cut of this new one, produced by Damon Albarn, and while it's the most pop-oriented track on the disc, and stands out as result, I think it's also the weakest. Whereas Chao burnished what Amadou and Mariam do best, Albarn overwhelms their essential folkiness. If you like what Mitchell Froom did to Richard Thompson in the 1980s, you might like this treatment, but it's not for me. -- the librarian

This album has great energy and a rather unique mix of African chant and rock and roll. Unfortunately, the glamour eclipses the talent. It's as if the producers got too carried away with modern technology. Still, I keep this record in circulation.

This CD is warm, charming and addictive. I liked them since their first album and this one is not a disappointment. I just simple love it and it hooks a wide variety of people, from the rockers to rastas. I'll have this album on in my room and people will pop in and ask what it is. One of the top 10 albums in my collection.

Not 'world' music, but music for the world --- for everyone in the world

Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia have climbed to the pinnacle of World Music. But 'Welcome to Mali', their new CD, is wrongly titled, for with this release, they've made another, more dazzling ascent to an even loftier peak --- this isn't World Music, to be filed in the Mali section. It's music from a very big world, made for everyone in the world. If you buy, download or steal no other music this year, stop right here. This is the one.

This is the one because it's the right idea at the right time: a bundle of joy for a hurting planet. It's so all-inclusive --- "an original East Coast-West Coast collaboration", a rapper friend of theirs shouts at the start of a song --- that you'll have a hard time locating this music by geographic origin. It was recorded in Paris, London, Dakar, and Senegal. It uses traditional African instruments and state-of-the art electronics. And Amadou and Mariam sing in French and English --- not that the words much matter. Right here.] As it starts, you might think you're hearing a scratchy radio broadcast from the 1930s. Then comes the plinking of a ukulele (or is it?). And then Mariam floats in --- a birdlike soprano that may not break glass, but certainly clutches your heart and your attention. Entering the room, balancing her, a French horn (or is it?). And now...but what's this? Dance-hall drumming. Synthesizer runs of electronic notes, up and down the scale.

This is harmonious, joyous music, totally accessible pop that just happens to be symphonic in its power. Its real genius is its accessibility --- it sounds so simple, so organic, that it's like a song you've always hummed (and danced to) in your private happy moments. The lyrics, for what they're worth, support Amadou and Marian's vision of a beautiful world: "La vie est belle avec toi..... je te fais un gros bisou". But even more, they're just sound. (From the lyric sheet: "La llalallallallallalallaalallaa... sabalabalabala bala bala babla.") And those sounds evoke Motown and Phil Spector as much as they do African tribal chant.

But then, Amadou and Mariam have, from the beginning, pushed beyond the music of their country. In their childhood, Mali radio played all kinds of music --- rock, salsa, whatever. After their apprenticeship, they moved to the Ivory Coast, then to Paris, where they recorded with Cubans, Colombians, Indian drummers and "an African playing American-style harmonica". It was probably inevitable that their breakthrough CD, 'Dimanche a Bamako', would be produced by Manu Chao, the musician and producer who has brilliantly melded the music of the streets with delightfully political reggae.

On 'Welcome to Mali', there are instruments you've heard on African records --- a kora harp, a Malian violin --- but you'll find a bare minimum of the chicken-scratch guitar and Mississippi Delta blues sound that have defined their homeland's music. And you'll hear none of the street sounds, ambulance sirens and happy children that made 'Dimanche a Bamako' such a huge, international hit.

'Welcome to Mali' is European, sleek, elegantly produced. It's fun to listen to, and it's even funny --- a song about the African continent describes it like a woman, and Amadou and his rap partner are quite clear they want to explore every inch of her. And, near the end, there's a wonderful joke: the title song. Anyone else might have led off with it. Here it's more like: This is a tour of the entire world, and today, kids, we're in Mali. Like it?

I haven't yet said what's usually billboarded as the key thing about Amadou and Mariam, because after three decades of making music, how much does it really matter that they are both blind? Long ago, I bet, they learned how to translate the colors and shapes in their heads into sound; like Stevie Wonder, they hear so well there's almost nothing Amadou can't play on a guitar and Mariam can't sing.

Those dark sunglasses? Yes, they serve a purpose. They are also seriously cool, a piece of the superstar uniform. And, no doubt about it, with 'Welcome to Mali', Amadou and Mariam qualify as global superstars.

Excellent!!

Always on the lookout for new music, my interest was piqued when I saw that this album was one of the highest rated by critics last year, and also that one of my favourite musicians, Damon Albarn was involved. They have previously worked with another favourite of mine, Manu Chao, on other albums of theirs.

Amadou and Mariam are a married blind couple from Mali and "Welcome to Mali" is their fifth studio release. Typically filled with African rhythms, melodic guitars, and performed largely in French and English.

Opening track "Sabali" was produced by Damon Albarn and has a Western feel, swirling synths and electronic effects perfectly setting off the African backdrop. The lovely and rhythmic "Ce n'est past bon" (with nice chiming) and "Magosa" were also produced by Albarn.

Every song is a standout really, but I'll just make mention of a few more tracks to try and describe the feel of this superb CD. The beautiful downbeat "Djuru" features Toumani Diabate playing kora. "Je fe kiffe" features Juan Rozoff and has a Reggae feel, as does "Djama".

"Africa" is quite upbeat and features Somali rapper K'Naan, and amazingly, it turns out very well (with lyrics describing Africa as a beautiful woman). "Unissons nous" features European-based Nigerian guitarist Keziah Jones (his guitar playing has a Hendrix feel) and has an almost live Afrobeat/Jazz sound.

Stupendously beautiful, I highly recommend this to any music lover.

I bought this CD at the Honolulu Stadium flea market last week, and consequently did not have a chance to check the reviews before I bought it. You can't go wrong with IZ, I reasoned - and it was only $10. At the time, I didn't even know that the orchestral components were edited onto the original soundtrack. However, after listening to the CD several times over the past few days, I have to say that most of the orchestral arrangements (purely from an amateur - and not a professional, music-critiquing - perspective) were nicely integrated onto the soundtrack. The synthesized strings added a flavor of mystery that enhanced the feeling of being in paradise. The orchestral component seldom overpowered the beauty of the original soundtrack, and stayed true to its elegant musical style. It's true that nothing can compare with IZ's original soundtracks: they are precious and irreplaceable, and will always preserve their high musical status. But this CD gave me an added and unexpected pleasure in IZ's music. I would give 5 stars for IZ's voice, and 4 to the daring and creative - yet humble - orchestral addition. I can see how one could rate the CD anywhere from 0 to 5, based on their personal taste for this "creativity."
