Pepe Kalle was truly a great in congolese music. His song "Roger Milla" will certainly get the party started!! one of my favorite songs of all time is this one and also "Gerant", and im sure whoever listens to it will not be disappointed!!!!

Pepe Kalle was in my opinion one the true legends of Zairean music. His style and his class will live on forever. This cd is only a small tribute to a man who passed away in the prime of his life and his career.

Serah has the uncanny ability to bring together incredible musicians from all over the globe and make an album that sounds as though they've all been working together for years. Her voice is very pure and direct, and over the rich layers of music supplied by the musicians, it is pure magic.

The message of her music is very clear, and even when she deviates from her own original songs to cover oldies like "Sailing" and "Stand By Me", her interpretations never stray.

If you're looking to be inspired by beautiful melodies and images, or if you just want something soothing in the middle of all the chaos, I highly reccomend Late Harvest.

If Petit Pays doesn�t belong to the superstars of showbiz today, only a poor marketing strategy could be responsible... Sensational music.._... Just try it !!!

I have been into Malagasy music for several years, and this is one of the absolute BEST CDs I have ever heard! Every minute is a joy!

This CD shows why Petit Pays is the King of Makossa. The music is excellent for either dancing or just listening. It is a must for any Makossa lover.

This CD was my introduction to Papa Wemba years ago. I purchased it while in Tokyo where there was quite a following for this magnificent singer. This CD is still powerful, flavorful, just plain ol' tasty...some of the best mixing I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The musicianship is outstanding, world class. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. "D"

This album, "Les genies vous parlent", isa milestone. Meiway is one of the most famous singer of the Ivory Coast. From one album to another, he is getting closer to the best we can expect from him. Mixing traditional melodies and songs with modern instruments, he is leading the path for a major breakthrough, establishing a new era of the West African musicland. In Africa, Europe and some Islands of the Caribbean, he is well knwon along with his elder Alpha Blondy,the Ivorian Raggeaman known all around the world, as the best of his country. In this album, the Professor "Awolowo" (other name for Meiway) gives you a lecture on the genius of African music, West African music or Black music should I say (Listen to the whole cd and you will realize that Meiway is definitively an International singer). If you do not have any Ivorian Cd, here is the one you should buy to update your knowledge of this musicland. Songs such as Astrid, Sida( Aids in fren! ch) are very good. But the "genie de Kpalezo" (other name for Meiway) tells you more about Africa in this album. With Nanan, song dedicated to the late President of the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire in French), "le dernier des Federes" ( other name for Meiway) shows you through the wonderfull melodies how gratefull the people of Ivory Coast are to the late President Felix Houphouet Boigny and his familly. In this song, he thanks them for us all for the stability of the country and invites us to be loyal to his successor, the new President Aime-Henri Konan Bedie in order to preserve our so cherished peace. This is the mark of the best, the major artists always gives more than the others: a message to the world, a piece of wisdom to their fans through their songs. No question if his "followers" will listen to him. The title of the album is "Les genies vous parlent" meaning "The genies are talking to you." No doubt they are talki! ng to us through Meiway but sometimes we wonder: " Th! is guy is so good, isn't he one of them ???"

This CD keeps you dancing the mapouka all day! I love it! I highly recommend the CD to anyone who loves mapouka or African music in general.

For all those who have loved the soulful voice and not the arrangements of his international records, you can't miss Youssour N'Dour old recordings with Etoile de Dakar. This record can give a glimpse of it, but search for them, ask for them in your record store. You won't be deceived.

Mother Africa does it again. I have been a fan for years but just heard this CD. This is one of her best and it is not just because most of the music is in English. Makeba showcases both her upbeat booty joy dance side and her gentle militant side. This is a must buy!
