An excellent CD. A must-have for those who enjoy the music of Manu Dibango. Has more authentic african tunes and beats. Too bad the CD is no longer available - I have the cassette but want to buy the CD.

This was the second album of Manu Dibango I bought. This album made me obsessed with Dibango's music. It always makes me smile. I had the album for a couple days, and then, on a night out after work, I had some drinks with some buddies. The drinks were spiked with Lucy and her Diamonds and I remained up all night at home, alone. I decided to listen to my new album. I was in heaven. I turned the lights down and listened to it on repeat for six hours straight. I had a fitful night none the less, but with Dibango's 'Waka Juju' I felt saved from losing my sanity. Yes, I am obsessed, but it isn't a bad thing.

If you are interested in the album and can't find it on amazon, then you can search for it over the internet and find it either on LP or CD. A lot of Dibango's older music can only be found on LP or on one of the conglomerate CD's of his music. Some of it is really hard to find and I've seen records sold on ebay for over 200 bucks!

Other albums of his I like to listen to: Soul Makossa, Makossa Man, Ambassador(the album I was introduced to), Manu '76, Afrovision, Gone Clear, Soft and Sweet, and From Africa. There are a lot more that I haven't heard or didn't appreciate as much. I still like all of his music.
