Clarification...Mistake: This Recording is NOT Franco & TPOK Jazz as ListedBut it's an incredible historic recording if you like Nico and Rochereau. Just wanted to point out the error in listing. If someone is selling the "Nico, Rochereau, Roger", I've got it as Sonodisc CD 36509. 19 songs coming in just under 61 minutes of wonderful compositions by Nico, Rochereau, Dechaud, Mujos and others. Sound quality is great. Docteur Nico's guitar is perfectly unique.

En effet, c'est la guitare de Nico qui a donn? une splendeur toute sp?ciale ? la musique congolaise moderne. Nico est le v?ritable P?re cofondateur du rythme "style African Jazz". C'est Nico, plus que tout autre artiste congolais, qui a cr?? ce que nous pouvons aujourd'hui qualifier de "musique classique congolaise". Apr?s Nico, la musique congolaise moderne est compl?tement en lambeaux car les artistes ont perdu leur rep?re.

Misleading listing.Amazon has confused things here. They list this CD as Sonodisc CD36512, and title it as "L'African Fiesta Vol.1". Actually,Sonodisc CD36512 is "L'African Fiesta Vol.2". It starts with the song "Permission", and has a picture of Rochereau on the cover. "L'African Fiesta Vol.1" is actually Sonodisc CD36509 and has Nico and his guitar on the cover.
Both are, of course, classics.
