International music review sounds of relaxation
Many people listen to the music while socializing, doing hous wprk, driving... this almbum is, however, one of those that you put in your CD player, dim the lights, sit back and enjoy the harmony of instruments and hipnotizing voice of the singer. i listen to all kinds of music, so i recommend this album to everyone!

this album pulls you by your heartstrings to a world of smoky filled cafes. The sound of her voice alienates you from the sounds of mundane life and for that very instant you are wherever and whatever you want to be.A sound that everyone should have.

International music review Waiting for the next feedback !
This is one of my favorites. I carry 20 YEARS OF FEEDBACK in the car and play it over and over. Its a must have for any bluegrass fan.

International music review A MUST FOR ANY BLUEGRASS COLLECTION
These guys carry on the "newgrass" tradtition in the same vein as those groups who pioneered this style. Banjo picking that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, fiddle playing that will bring a tear to your eye, guitar picking smooth as silk, dobro picking that will break your dog's neck. These guys should be in Nashville. This disk is a soon to be classic for sure!

International music review Bela, Eat your heart out !!
This is Bluegrass at its best. "Feedback" in no way describes the essence of what this album (and band) has to offer the Bluegrass diehard or the novice ("new grasseer"). This "20 year" instrumental and vocal group spreads around lively vocals and instrumentals with non-stop energy and will keep you tappin' from the first to the last beat. A must for any music library. You'll float like a Gecko on the water after indulging in this mixture of new and traditional songs. Five stars is NOT ENOUGH !!!!

International music review EXELENTE! FIRME ALBUM BEAUTIFUL VOICE!
She sings from the heart she has the passion she has the voice to blow your breeth away her name is rocio durcal! Now what I like about is when you listen to her musica you go into this demension of feeling and relaxsation it just puts you in a warm calm soothing mood. When I herd the song ( Carcias) for the first time I knew I had fallen in love with it it just made me feel so good inside it gave me a very relaxing feeling I felt very calm and I just knew I had to buy it I have boght all of her other cd's just about. But this is one of my favorite ones I just think she sings with great feeling she sings from the heart and she has a great talent this cd is a tresure you must have in your collection you will never regret buying this album I garentee it you will love this album weather you have her other albums or not I just want to say it's not just her voice but the instruments she uses in her songs just plays right in with her voice to make the most perfect songs I know she has one an award for being the best latin female singer and I hope she wins many more honestly I think she will she has a wonderful talent and shes great at it love you rocio!

International music review A ray of Joyous Light
I have admired Rocio Durcal since I was a child. However, Caricias is the first cd of hers that I have purchased. I had been unable to listen to her music for a number of years and Caricias was the cd which reintroduced me to Rocio's stunning voice. From start to finish, this cd takes you on an incredible emotional journey. Rocio speaks to your heart and shares the emotions she feels while singing each individual song. This cd is a must for anyone who appreciates beauty and who can relate to the summits and valleys which are experienced when one falls in love or is betrayed etc... since purchasing this cd, I have purchased several others.

International music review Not just for fans of the show...
Some of the songs on this disc will mostly be of interest to fans of Clase 406, including the theme song ("Clase 406"), the spoken segments, and the songs by cast members. ("Dnde irn" was also used as a theme song, but stands up well on its own.) However, the rest of the disc is a nice assortment of songs en espanl, well worth the price even if you have never watched the telenovela.

International music review Chido to the Max!!!!
I own both of the cd's and you should to if your a fan. I just wish it would of had more songs from the artistas on the novela like the second one, but it does make it up by having almost double of the songs than the second one does!! It would also be sweet if they released the novela on DVD I for one would definitly buy it and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one!!!

International music review VERY GOOD CD ESTA BIEN CHIDOOOOOOO!!!!
I REALLY LOVE THIS CD ITS AS GOOD AS THE NOVELA!
BUY IT BUY IT!!!!!! I LIKE THE TEXTOS AND ALSO THE SONGS THE ONLY SONG I DONT LIKE IS................. JUST KIDDING I LIKE ALL THE SONGSSSSSSS BYEEEE

International music review Lateral cross-over
No European band in the 1970s seemed capable of creating jazz-rock with quite the soul of the US bands (i.e. Weather Report and Return to Forever), but Germany's Passport came closest, in my view.

Bandleader Klaus Doldinger had a sensitive ear for musical styles which he would pick up and apply to his song-writing. Often this strategy worked, but you could get the occasional duff track -- e.g. some of the Latin numbers on 'Iguacu'. But on 'Cross-Collateral', it's all under control, and the band seems highly focussed. There's no Latin influence, and no synthesizer whimsy. It's straightahead jazz-rock, with perhaps a stronger infuence on the rock element, in terms of the beat and drum style. Perhaps the only artist who is now soing anything remotely similar is Norway's Jan Garbarek: 'I Took Up the Runes' comes highly recommended to anyone who doesn't know it.

To me the greatest song on this is the the odd one out: the final track 'Damals', a plaintive tune of regret. It reminds me of girlfriends lost and of opportunities not taken. It is a beautiful, sad song!

International music review German Funk?!
Released in 1975, this is one of a few albums that I can still listen to and freak out over as much as when I first heard it at age 16 when I was listening to anything I could that wasn't being played on the radio. I've played this for people who think they only like Rock and also for people who think they only like Jazz, and both sides love it. At 16 I liked Weather Report and Mahavishnu, I loved Led Zeppelin and The Who and Pink Floyd, and I really dug Erroll Garner and Dave Brubeck and Miles Davis, and oh yeah! - Sly and J.B. and Stevie Wonder - but this was my favorite album and is still at least in my top ten. You do actually hear the influence of all the above mentioned genres here, but not in the often boring way it's produced in what's typically categorized as "fusion". Grab this one!

International music review Extremely intense monster-chops fusion album!
Recorded in 1975, CROSS-COLLATERAL is undoubtably the most intense and hard-hitting of PASSPORT's fusion output. The compositions are brain-twistingly complex and fast, yet there are spacious subtleties throughout this disc. From the modal brilliance of HOMMUNCULUS, the dynamically progressive CROSS-COLLATERAL to the street-funk drive of JADOO, Klaus Doldinger showcases his quartet's ability to master difficult material, solo tastefully and comp with active group synergy and do it all with impeccable musicianship. Line-up: Curt Cress, drums. Kristian Schultze, keyboards. Wolfgang Schmidt, bass & guitar. Klaus Doldinger, saxes, keyboards, synthesizers.

International music review You should have at least one of Julio's CDs ...
It does not matter where in the world you come from, what race, who you are or what you are - One thing is proven certain - There will be at least one song in Julio's extraordinary multi-lingual repetoire that is guaranteed to please someone somewhere.

'Divorcio', his latest album and nothing to do with his current marital status, is certainly no exception. The very catchy song 'El Bacalao' is bound to make you want to get up and dance, and for those of you who speak or understand Spanish well, the lyrics, whilst simple, pack a punch with sublte double meaning! - Enjoy!

Every song on this album, each a gem in it's own right, is beautifully arranged and Julio executes them all to perfection.

This man is a class act, a gentleman, and singer with a very deninite and polished style - extremely rare in this day and age!

DJ Kane
Released in Audio CD by EMI International (23 March, 2004)

  • Mia
  • Puras Mentiras
  • Que Buena Vida
  • Kane's Harem (Te Voy A Hacer Bailar)
  • No Me Dejes Sin Tu Amor

  • Mirame
  • Mia (Cumbia)
  • Que'lo Que Tiene
  • You Still Belong To Me
  • La Negra Tomasa (Club Agenda) - Bonus Track
As former lead vocalist for A.B. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings, DJ Kane offered up smooth vocals on top of Tejano, cumbia, and R&B rhythms. Kane plays up the pop and R&B elements on his self-titled debut album, but he still can't escape the Kings' sound. The Houston-born, Brooklyn-bred performer kicks off his album with "La Negra Tomasa," and his zippy cumbia take on the Cuban classic (which was also one of Los Caifanes' earliest hits) would sound right at home on any of the Kings' past efforts. Kane also peppers his album with tender R&B ballads, another of the Kumbia Kings' calling cards. The best of the bunch is "Mia," co-written by Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough. To maximize crossover appeal, the song is featured in English, Spanish, and cumbia versions, a trick often used by--you guessed it--the Kumbia Kings. Kane is a confident, charismatic singer, but it's a mystery why he chose to venture out on his own when his sound is still so clearly tied to his past musical life. --Joey Guerra

International music reivew Great CD
This is a great cd, I like most of the songs on this album. The only draw back on the album is that one song is repreated twice, the other is repeated 3 times. Like La Negra Tomasa you only need one version of that song, and then Mia on is original the other is cumbia mix, and then again in english. I mean this song is good but not that good for me to hear it a million times. So in actuality, this cd only really contains 10 original songs, he could have at least made a few more. All in all though it is a great cd, and you will listen to it quite a few times. I do believe that K1 album is better though.

International music review Saying the truth
I think that even if DJ Kane was a former KK member he still has his own style in music. It is not anything like KK but in a good way. DJ Kane is a great musician and needs a little credit in that. He has a great style in music very different from Mr. Quintanilla. Although i might add A.B is also a great artist.

International music review Dj Kane tha great
Leaving the Kumbia kings might have been a good move after all. With this self-title debut album being a hit he shows he's good enuff for the solo world. With hits Like(La negra tomasa,Buena vida, pura mentiras And Mia Cumbia remix hes sur to get your attention

International music review Superb album
I lived in Kuwait for two years and got used to Arabic music. I wanted the people in my office to know what it was like, so I ordered this CD. I did not know who Nawal Al Zoghby was, so I selected it on the basis of other people's reviews. I have to say I am VERY pleased with my choice! Nawal is a fabulous singer, and her music ROCKS! It is very reminiscent of hearing the music over the loudspeakers in Fahaheel's Sultan Center. If you want a taste of Middle Eastern music and aren't sure where to start, this is the CD for you.

International music review ONE OF THE BEST!!
THIS ALBUM IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUM THE AMAZING STAR NAWAL EL ZOGHBI DID , SHE IS THE BEST ALWAYS I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO BUY IT.

International music review Simply the BEST!!!!
Ellitmane Toh is the best music album ever! with the world in the way it is, wars, racism and terrorism. Nawal has given us all something to enjoy together and feel good about! ....

International music reivew El ultimo disco

Canciones recomendadas: Afuera, Ayer Me Dijo Un Ave, Avientame.

International music reivew 1st Song is Incredible
I bought this album for the first song ("Afuera") & love it so much that I haven't gotten around to exploring the rest of the album. I keep hitting "repeat" on track 1 over & over.
