I'M A ULTIMATE FAN OF INTOCABLE AND I THINK THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ALBUMS SO IF YOUR A FAN OF TEJANO MUSIC AND YOUR LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW I RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM.

I have all of Intocable's CDs. But if you want to buy only one CD, this is IT! It is exactly as the cover says, Grandes Exitos. It definitely includes my favorite songs over the years.

Ok, a guy can't work for 30 years without putting out some less than remarkable pieces. And many of them seem to be assembled on this CD. The good numbers--"No vale la pena," "Se me olvido otra vez," "Inocente pobre amigo" and the like--pale in comparison to their rendering in Gabriel's "Juan Gabriel: En el Palacio de Bellas Artes" live CD and videos. It doesn't please me to say less than positive things about my favorite singer, but I have to tell the truth. This collection is a little boring.

Juan Gabriel has been recording his marvelous compositions for 30+ years, and has become one of Mexico's legendary and most prolific cantautores, with the huge successes he has had as a solo artist, duets with the likes of Rocio Durcal, and with over 200 international artists making hits of his music as well. This compilation of songs from the 70's and 80's includes some of his most famous, like "Se Me Olvido Otra Vez", and "Ya No Vuelvo a Molestarte", but my two favorite tracks that get the replay button are "Con Todo y Mi Tristeza", which is an enchanting valse, and the final "Con Un Poco Amor". The melodies are fabulous, and the lyrics poetic and heartfelt.

His high-pitched voice perhaps for some is an acquired taste, and I must admit, that after many years of listening, it is only recently that I caught the "Gabriel Fever" and now fully appreciate him as a songwriter and singer; better late than never, as it is a very pleasant affliction.
As with many compilations of this type, there is no recording information included, but as befits one of Mexico's greatest stars, the mariachi musicians backing him are top notch, the sound is good, and the total time is 46:47.
This is a wonderful collection to sample the songwriting genius of Gabriel, and his unique heart and soul singing style.

I have been a fan of Juan Gabriel for over 20 years. I am proud to have such a talented and gifted artist of Mexican decent gift the world such beautiful music. Juan Gabriel is a living legend; he is a great composer and artist. His style is unique and giving all his love to his work he has the ability to share every emotion with us and make us laugh or cry. This CD is a treasure; all songs are sung with Mariachi -filling each song with a sentiment that will make you feel his passion. I am sure you will agree once you listen for yourselves.

Jose Luis Perales el mejor cantante en espanol de todos los tiempos, su musica esta escrita con el corazon y alcanza a todo tipo de gente, si nunca ha comprado su musica se esta perdiendo de algo excelente, lo recomiendo.

This is a great collection of songs by the unforgettable Javier Solis, who's incredible voice is one of the most beautiful of Mexico's many wonderful singers, and for pure richness of sound, perhaps no one can compare. In his short life (he died on April 16th, 1966 at the age of 33) he left us a legacy of some of the most romantic music on record.

These 20 songs are classics, every one a gem, and all sung with so much heart and passion. Favorites are "Flor de Azalea", "La Hiedra", and Jose Alfredo Jimenez' "Que Bonito Amor". Sony did a remarkable job with the sound on this CD. Crisp and clear, it doesn't sound anywhere near as old as these recordings must be. Total running time is 55:59.

Solis was one of the finest singers in any age and genre that the world has known...and if you've never had the good fortune to hear him, this CD is a good place to start.

It is truly a shame that such a magnificent talent was taken from us from people that did not realize what a unique and one-of-kind talent lived among them back in the 60's. I started listening to Javier Soliz in 1968 when he had already been dead for 2 years and from that moment on, I was hooked. There are many more songs that needed his interpretation to make them truly wonderful. No other singer singing this style of music has ever gotten close to his quality. How beautiful if he had gotten to sing with a full orchestra and songs in English. His fame would have been fenomenol. The abilities in his voice surpassed those of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, or Johnny Mathis in what he could do with his voice. I never cease to be amazed at the richness and quality that on person can have in his voice. I hope the music companies will get busy and release all the music that he recorded because we want to add it to our collection. If you want to hear acrobatics in notes listen to Valses Mexicanos or Canciones Espanolas, and try to follow the music with your voice and you will see how difficult it is to sing in this style.

Javier Solis, como lo mencionan anteriormente es el mejor de los mejores, a pesar de que existen muchos CD's, faltan much�simas canciones interpretadas por este gran artista, que de verdad son hermosas en su voz. A manera de sugerencia espero que se reeditaran sus canciones que no se han reeditado y que en su tiempo (y en el actual) son un verdadero Hit. Pongamos por ejemplo el album llamado:"boleros,boleros,boleros", que hasta la fecha no ha habido ninguna reedici�n; a su vez existe otro que lleva por t�tulo: "boleros moru�os" en la misma situaci�n; de igual manera hay muchos m�s, los mismos que cualquier coleccionista y admirador de este artista desear�a tenerlos.

Well Yolandita is a legend who open doors for other latinas to sing she next Diana Ross a true sprit , She should deserve mor grammys and and have a star on Hollwood Blvd because she earned it shes everything to her fans.

If you enjoy great ballads and Spanish heartfelt lyrics then listen to the best voice in Latin American pop, this is for you... The puertorrican music treasure is Yolandita Monge...singing since 1970 and still going strong, this album has some of her best work of the 1980s, but it didn't stopped here...some of her best work is in 1994's "Fiebre de Luna" and 2002's "Sexto Sentido"...and if you know she has a concert near your town....run to the ticket's booth: her concerts are the best!

Las canciones de yolandita llegan hasta lo mas profundo del corazon, ella es verdaderamente la diva puertorriquena para el mundo,la mujer mas romantica en el mundo de la farandula es yolandita de mi borinquen preciosa.

excellent music that I grew-up with..... but....this particular recording should be remastered so new generations will be able to enjoy this master of the boleros.

As I write this review I am listenig to the CD and I am on cloud nine... There can never be anyone like Lucho Gatica for romance. There can never be more beautiful "boleros"...

This is probably the best Lucho Gatica collection in the market... Here are some of his greatest hits such as "La Barca", "El ReloJ", "Amor Mio", etc. and also other gems made famous by other artists but which Gatica make his own...

The only problem is a slight distortion in the sound... Unfortunately, the Latin divisions of the great multi-national record companies such as Capitol-EMI Latin do not seem to be ready to give us listeners the benefit of full 20-bit remasterings and other state of the art reconstructive technology so we can enjoy these old masterpieces in all their glory... In short the Latin divisions are about 20 years behind their American counterparts...Shame...

Still, we should be grateful to have these historic recordings available in CD...without cracks and pops...and to be able to enjoy the wondeful voice and style of the greatest: Lucho Gatica.

This CD was introduced to me by my Agentinian friend and I fell in love that night. What more can I say. I'm not Latin but Lucho's voice will transport you into a wonderful world of romantic dreams.

These are great pre-"entre el cielo" tracks! This is old Mecano in all of its glory. The best tunes are "No Pintamos Nada," "La Estacion," and "maquillaje."

If you are looking for some of their better known greatest hits, I suggest buying "Entre el Cielo y el Suelo"(although it is not a "greaest hits package", nearly every song was a hit).
But this is great for the true fans as it features some old, forgotten singles.

The first 15 tracks are the same ones on 15 GRANDES �XITOS. Then you get 4 more tracks from the first three albums, nothing special. The great thing about this album is "Quiero vivir en la ciudad", the studio version that's not available anywhere else (except for an old vinyl single). It's not the version from EN CONCIERTO, so this album is really a collector's item.

Si creciste con Mecano, este CD te dara flashbacks en cantidades industriales...unque de aquella jurases que no te gustaban.

Ana gabriel is my favorite latin singer ive been a ana gabriel fan since 1995. When first heard her classic ranchera hit.( es demaciado tarde) that song call still bring me chills, this collection contains it all. Hit's like (LUNA,QUIEN COMO TU,and one of her biggest pop ballads ever (SIMPLEMENTE AMIGOS) simply friends.she wrote for a gay friends, its true powerful lyrics sais how unexcepting sociaty really is.In concert Ana Gabriel delivers triple times to her audience than what you get on a cd, She sounds 3x better is person, She laughs, dances swiftly to the beasts and cries to the feeling on the song. No matter what row you are in you feel her sound. Being dressed so simple the woman looks like a million bucks,(classy) Ilove ANA GABRIEL.. canta mi ANA...... must have album...

This CD is great! I can't stop listening to it! It has all of her best hits since the early 1980's to 2000. If you speak Spanish: "�Este disco es para cortarse las venas!"

You won't be able to. I've tried three times to order this from Amazon. Each time they let me ride for about two to three weeks before telling me they "thought they could get it...but they can't." Do yourself a favor and just pick up the three discs separately. They're just as good. And at least you'll be able to actually get them.

Musically this is a 5 star set. However it should be removed from their catalog or at least labeled as unavailable.

Kyuss is THE rock band of the AGES!

EYE (I) first become aware of the BEST heavy rock band, KYUSS (pronounced KAI-US), with SKY VALLEY. When I first listened to it, the sheer force of those c-tuned heavy guitars took me away to the desert and I have yet to return. These songs continue to inspire and, other than it's later incarnations in THE DESERT SESSIONS and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, nothing even compares to it today.

BLUES FOR THE RED SUN completely captures the essence of the band. From relentless riffs that chug along, highlighted by sweet licks and harmonics to sheer virtuosity, KYUSS gives you everything you'd want and more.

SKY VALLEY is an epic three sided masterpiece of heavy metal that truly takes you on a journey through the Californian high desert. The opening thunderous riffs on GARDENIA let you know what the ride is about . From heavy and bawdy metal songs to soft and gentle accoustic jams , the album moves seemlessly from song to song as it paints rich and textured musical images that are truly one of a kind in music anywhere.

AND THE CIRCUS LEAVES TOWN is pretty good, but of the three, for me it ranks third. It's more hit or miss, but it's chocked full of the goods on SPACESHIP LANDING and EL RODEO.

KYUSS is always a mainstay in my rotation and I've since gone on with THE DESERT SESSIONS and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE because I feel the heart of all these bands has been the fierce and epic guitar work and song writing of JOSH HOMME.

I urge you the make the move, because once you venture into the desert you'll have no reason to return.

If you listened to Sabbath in the 70s (with Ozzy ONLY), you MUST own these CDs. They were my favorite band of the 90s. They're nothing like Queens of the Stone Age. It's Sabbath all over again, remember how it was in the 70s? This @#$% is HEAVY and you will pass the knowledge to your disciples. So, if you really dug Sabbath, I KNOW you can't pass a chance to hear these guys. Only for TRUE LOYAL Sabheads. I promise your life will be enriched and you will ENJOY!!!

La musica de Victor Manuelle es floja y no se puede clasificar como Salsa. En realidad es un sonsonete recyclado en cada disco. Como Boricua e instructor de baile de salsa puedo decir que las personas se frustran tratando de bailar salsa con la musica de Victor Manuelle. Les digo que si quieren escuchar y bailar buena Salsa escogan la musica de la Sonora Poncena, Willie Rosario y El Gran Combo entre otros..........Eso si es musica de verdad y Salsa Boricua...........

Certain Salseros make me think of growing up in New York with blaring sound systems on fires escapes, dancing in an open hydrant with your neighborhood boyfriend; others of being a young free adult club-hopping in Miami. Some artists have grown with me, and their music reflects our being older, professional, more introspective. But Victor Manuelle takes me beyond the geographic and the chronologic to my purest convictions about salsa. I can feel my roots in his passionate singing and the percussion, and the brass, and the piano... it's all there. With the music of Victor Manuelle, wherever I am; I am home.

Victor Manuelle is not formula; he is real from the heart. Like the release I felt when I skipped the expensive San Juan chain hotels and took the $1.50 shuttle bus down to Fajardo, and the $2.00 ferry to tiny Culebra, to be myself with friends and their family.

What can I say.. simply one of the best Soneros of our time. He sings with so much passion that one can just feel the blood pump and boil through ones veins. All his work is unbelievable real and touches every aspect of the heart. If you have ever loved, been loved, or had your heart broken .. then this man's words will ring true through every crevice of your soul.
