International music review Hot traxs that rock
This CD has not left my deck since it arrived two days ago. It is simply remarkable on at least half of the songs and pretty darned good on the rest. The mix of dub and Arab melodies is quite dynamic. I can not believe I have never heard of these guys before. If you like Loop Guru but want something that rocks more....this is for you!!!

International music review LOVE IS IN THE AIR
WELL WHAT CAN I SAY I POP THIS IN AND I LITERALLY POP OUT INTO FUNKY SMOOTH SAILING JAMS.. IF YOU GET.. THEN YOU MUST SUBMIT.. BYE IT AND YOU WONT HAVE NO REGRET

PEACE OUT

International music review How good?
This is the type of album that takes you on a journey to far off places. One of the few albums that can do this for me, and believe me it takes some doing to get out of the industrial North West. Quality sounds and tunes. That good!

International music reivew Super guitar album
If you're into guitar music of any kind (I love Eric and Jimmy Page and many others) or you're into "Latin" music, you will love this album. In my dreams I can play guitar like these guys. Oh well, maybe in another life. Super, super stuff. Their live performances are better, catch them if you can.

International music review ON FIRE AGAIN!
I am not going to call this my favorite album because I dont really have a favorite. All of Incendio's albums are AMAZING, but this is the next best thing to hearing them live.
Jim and JP play with such Passion that the listener is taken on a journey around the world and filled with the same Fire that makes Incendio what it is. Joe Shotwell brings the Heart of Incendio directly to the listener's ears with his amazing drumming. The soul of Incendio is portrayed by the amazing talent of the bassist Liza Carbe', and Nicole Falzone adds a little bit of Spice to the mix with percussion. Together the talents of these Artists create a sound that ensnares the heart and soul. Even without "Studio Magic" this CD has a magic all it's own.
All I can say is go see Incendio live it's an outing you will never forget.

International music review Great album
I love this album! Incendo came to our famrmer's market in SLO and ended up convincing me to run to the atm in order to buy this cd. They were amazing to watch live. Most of the people in the crowd ended up puchasing a cd. These guys have skills, great music, and are friendly people. Highly recommended.

International music review no doubt this is a masterpiece: buy it !
If I could I would have given 6 stars.
No doubt 1960 was the best Everly year for both music quality and quantity.Would you buy only one Everly cd this is the one to buy.All tracks are extremely impressive, nothing to reject, many songs came from the Bryant and they were especialy writing songs for Don and Phil, the best combination.
The Nashville sound is as pure as the music and the voices.
It' s clear: there will never be an other country rock album reaching this level of quality.

"Sleepless nights" is an extreme exemple of the perfect combination of 2 voices,Cathy's clown was building the new standard of country music for the years to come, Nashville blues showed the Everlys were good at blues also...and I could say such things about each title.
But most of all, many golden titles from these 2 albums were missing a lot in previous PARTIAL re issues. If you find you have already some of these songs on other cds, you can still buy this CD because songs like "just in case" (drums are incredible !) or "I want you to know" (and many others) can only be found here.
I CONFIRM DON'T LOSE ANY TIME, BUY IT WHILE YOU CAN !( I purchased 3 of them as I had waited 40 years before...)
I am now hoping Warner will do the same job for all original LPs especialy "Beat and soul"
    Everly yours

    International music review Landmark Recordings
These two albums were recorded by the Everly's shortly after their move to Warner from Cadence Records in 1960. With their streak of late 50's hits over, they went into the studio and cut these in '60 and '61.

The sound quality on this CD is incredible, the musicianship simply dripping with effortlessness and tastefulness. Great songs, great arrangements. Most of these never went on to surpass their earlier hits, but what they lack in hooks they make up for in exuberance and quality.

I was an Every fan for years, listening almost strictly to their 50's catalogue - but I return to these albums more than any other. The sound here is a little more electric, but I believe "It's Everly Time" to be the Everly's best work.

I really hope albums like this are appreciated in the future - I'm glad to see it in print.

International music review Get it while you can
If one needs any more convincing that the beginning of the Everly's tenure at Warner Brothers was every bit as brilliant as their time at Cadence, this CD should set you straight. All their 1960 recordings are here, and it is impressive. It includes the two albums that were released that year, plus the singles and several alternate takes and songs that were recorded but unreleased at that tiem. All are wonderfully remastered in pristine stereo, and the choice of songs and studio musicians (which includes the great Chet Atkins) is absolutely the best. Man these Nashville cats know how to play, and what a pleasure it is to listen to Chet Atkins absolutely gorgeous licks; his guitar playing alone is worth the price of admission. It goes without saying that the singing, well, just doesn't get any better than this, in ANY era.

These are classic, timeless recordings, really. If their were any justice in this world, this CD would be a catalog item that would sell several hundred thousand copies a year, like Abbey Road or Revolver. As it is, you better get this while you can, because it's only available as a limited supply import. Even if you've got the Everly Brothers boxed set, you need this if you appreciate just how good these guys were. This collection from 1960 catches the Everly Brothers at their peak...period.

International music review I THINK JALANE WOULD BE BIGGER THEN BRITNEY!!
I was first introduced to Jalane in my french class. We watched the music video of Ma Musique, at first I thought it was just another pop song, then by the end I could stop dancing at my desk. I then downloaded some other songs and loved them all that I bought the cd. If you enjoy pop musique with a European twist, this is a cd i highly recommend. I would love to hear Jalane played on the radio, but first everyone must spread the word! Make Jalane bigger then Britney!!

International music review Its time for a French Crossover
I picked up Jalane's debut album in France while i was studying there a few months ago and i havent been able to put it down since. There is a great mix of R & B and rap which funkify the album. Having listened to alot of Frnech music recently i htink Jalane has a one up on most of the other artists because of her sexy voice and even sexier looks. Oublie-le and Ou va la monde are by far the best tracks on the album, each featuring other french rap artists. This album has something for everyone and shouldn't be missed. I only pray that people like Jalane make the cross over to the USA which i am sad to say is so preoccupied with the Latin in=vasion that it has forgotten that there are other great artists out there who sing great in languages other than Spanish.

    International music review Hip-Hop/R&B/Ballads
Heard the first track (Femmes) last summer while listenting to NRJ out of Paris and was hooked. This is good R&B, Hip-Hop and ballads. Best song on the album, in my opinion is Oublie-Le, although On Tous PCh and Cheri are also good. There's a lot of good Hip-Hop (Alliance Ethnik;MC Solaar) and R&B (Melgroove) coming out of France and this is another one. It's a few notches below MJ Blige's latest release.

International music review A talented but almost forgotten country queen
Susan was an excellent country singer of the early seventies, but never quite reached the front rank. She was overshadowed by Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and Lynn Anderson, who were the major country queens at the time - and there was also competition from Barbara Fairchild, Donna Fargo, Dottie West, Connie Smith and others. It is no wonder that Susan struggled to make a really big impact.

Susan was discovered by Buck Owens' manager, and many of her songs were written by Buck. She also recorded some duets with Buck, though none of them are included here. Her most famous song, LA international airport, was a country top ten hit, as were Willy Jones, Pitty pitty patter, I've got a happy heart, My heart had a mind of it's own (a cover of a Connie Francis classic) and Whatcha gonna do with a dog like that. All those tracks are included here, along with several others which were lesser hits on the country charts.

Susan's music is well worth a listen if (like me) you're into traditional country in a big way. This is the best of the two compilations available at the time of this review. I'd like to hear more, especially the duets with Buck, but the wait for more of Susan's music on CD could be a long one.

International music review Stewardess in a mini skirt, a hippie in a leather shirt
There are two songs everybody thinks of when they board an airplane - Leaving On A Jet Plane and L.A. International Airport. One of the most striking country songs ever released, Susan Raye's vocal gymnastics on L.A. International Airport are one of the finest performances ever. I can remember when the song was released one of the announcers on our local radio station proclaimed "That song is going to get to number one even if I have to push it up there in a wheelbarrow". It didn't need such help - within a few weeks it was a national number one hit. Along with the other songs on this collection this is a must have.

International music review A TREASURY OF CLASSIC SUSAN RAYE
IT'S ABOUT TIME!! After 8 years of searching in vain for Susan Raye's recording, low and behold I stumble here at Amazon, and don't you know it, when I saw this CD listed with a WHOPPING 25 tracks, import , and a modest price to boot, I quickly ordered. And WHAT a find. I can remember when I was growing up, hardly a week went by when she wasn't on television, showing off her beautiful voice and cascading dark hair. The thrilling feelings all came back when I put this cd on. "L.A. International Airport", a staple of radio stations in the early '70s, "Precious Memories", and I remember the debut of that song, "The Cheating Game", a song I had never heard, but had recommended to me by a friend, I listened to it a full 20 times!! My god, what a classic song. The arrangement, the voice, the material, all a first-class match for a truly incredible tear-filled performance. The remastering is top-notch. You CAN'T go wrong with this CD, and even if you've never heard of her if you like Lynn Anderson, etc, buy it. You can't truly be a country music fan if you don't have this CD in your collection.

    International music reivew Great music
This style of music is not usually what i would listen to.But i'm a mad Seekers fan.So i was curious to hear what this sounded like. And i was not disappointed. This is the style of music she likes and it tells me something about her. That she released music that she likes, and wasn't trying to get the number one song on the charts. It was music she felt comfortable with. And you can see why,her voice realy suits that type of music.
There is that old fasioned sound from the 20's and 30's,and its very interesting music.I prefur her in the Seekers, but listening to her solo releases gives you an idea of what music she realy likes. For people who like this style of music you wont be disappointed, and its very different from what the Seekers did.Amazon dont seem to have her latest Dvd release of her Diamond tour 2003.She sings lots of her favourites on that as well as plays the piano.
If your a Seekers fan this worth getting. Its quality music.

International music reivew Finest female vocalist of her era....better than Streisand!!
I have always felt that Judith Durham was among the top female vocalists of the past half century. As you may or may not know, Judith was the lead singer of the Seekers, a popular 1960's folk group from Australia. The Seekers gave us such memorable tunes as "I'll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own" and of course "Georgy Girl". As good as those songs are, Judith's incredible vocal prowess is even more apparent on other Seekers tunes such as "The Carnival Is Over" and "Morningtown Ride". In the past, I have often compared her to the legendary Ronnie Gilbert of the Weavers.
On this disc, "Judith Durham and the Hottest Band in Town", Judith returns to her first love, the music of the 1920's and 1930's. Her rousing renditions of "Alexander's Ragtime Band", "I Want To Dance To Yor Music" and "Sister Kate" will make anyone want to get up and dance. Then there are memorable versions of standards like "Body and Soul" and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man O' Mine". Aside from being among the most gifted vocalists of her day, this disc proves that she is also one of the most versatile. In my mind, she is every bit as good as Streisand. Also, I cannot say enough about the band that was put together for this project. Recorded in San Francisco back in 1973, this album was out of print for over two decades before being reissued in Australia back in 1998. If you enjoy the blues, dixieland, or memorable vocals, then this disc is for you. My four star rating has nothing to do with the music. The total lack of any significant liner notes always drives me crazy and caused me to deduct one star. Happy listening!!!

International music review Judith Durham & The Hottest Band In Town
This album is outstanding and shows that anything anyone else can do, Judith Durham does it better. The amazing soprano voice leaves you with goosebumps as Judith blues out the blues, jazzes the jazz and stirs your soul with some of the great jazz and blues songs of the 20th century, not forgetting a couple of her own compositions like I wanna Dance to Your Music. Alexanders Ragtime Band sounds like it was meant to be sung like jazz and not a ballad. Judith certainly jazzes it up. Miss this one from your list and you don't know what you're missing!

International music reivew TRAVESTY PART II
AGAIN I AM FORCED TO GIVE 1 STAR DUE TO THERE BEING NO 0 STAR OPTION. I had to come back and say that Jose Luis Rodriguez sold out even more to make a buck and use these songs to give a boost to his pretty much DEAD CAREER. At least on this disc, the computer manipulation of the original vocals is more flowing, but still not quite the same as the original recording. Another vain, dry attempt to give live to something that is not there. If you want to hear these songs, there are dozens of CD's made that are wonderfully remastered and have all the original heart and soul of the orginal recording from the middle of the 20th Century. That is all, buy original, keep away from this crap.

    International music review Another Hit!
Another superior effort from "El Puma".

Fabulous arrangements, seamless vocals, and Jose Luis' purr. What more can a fan ask for?! Buy it!

International music review Excellent, it took me back to another time.
Great work! My parents listened to this music when I was a child and now I have come full circle. I have the previous album (Inolvidable I) and it is just as good. This music has class and it reminds you of an era gone by. Everyone that listens to my CD always wants the name so that they can buy it. Keep up the good work Jose Luis. Thank you.
