International music review Debelah does it yet again
Although this song did not do as well as "Dance With Me," on radio station playlists and billboards, the song shows that Debelah isn't just a one hit wonder at all. I have listened to this song so many times it may get annoying to some people. However, this is a song that can stay fresh forever and never get old, (just like Dance With Me.)

All I have to say is.. if you don't have it, you are missing out.

International music review "I Remember" A Hit When I Hear One!!!
This is Debelah's 2nd single and has only been released internationally. The remixes on here are hot and better than the original. "I Remember" is a very inspirational song that just makes you wanna smile when you listen to it.

    Track Listing:

1.) I Remember (DarkChild Remix 01) = This is the hot video version of the song, the original song didn't make it to video, but its all for a good reason. This remix is hot and more R&B flavorious than the original.

2.) I Remember (DarkChild Remix 02) = This is just like that of track 1, personally I can't tell the difference.

3.) I Remember (Album Version) = This is the ballad like version that you can find on the actual album "Dance With Me".

4.) I Remember (DarkChild Remix 01 Extended) = This is just a longer version of the hot remix that DarkChild did. This is the track for you if you can't get enought of this hot remix.

5.) Dance With Me (JP Sound Factory Mix) = This is a sizzling 10 minutes remix of this track that is always on going in your mind.

This single is hot and if you don't check it out its nobodys fault but yours for not knowing what your missin' out on.

International music review The Beauty of "I Remember"
"I Remember" by Debelah Morgan is a song worth remembering for the rest of your life! This song captures all of the elements associated with experiencing the bliss of love and it makes you feel good inside because it's upbeat, positive and just makes you smile. The music coupled with the angelic voice of Debelah Morgan makes this sweet single seem like its heaven sent to anyone enraptured with the beauty of love.

International music review This single ROCKS just like KACI !!!!!!!!
You don't have the idea how this single is awesome. I Think I Love You is a very nice song, that is going to get stuck on your head in the first time you listen to it. I Think I Love You Almighty remix rocks too, and you won't stop dancing to it. Tu Amor has a dance beat and fantastic lyrics and to finish it has the incredible video version from I Think I Love You that Kaci looks amazing on it ! Buy this single now and have a lot of fun. I hope to see Kaci releasing another single, this girl is the BEST !!!!!!

International music review What a big surprise!
"I Think I Love You" is definitely Kaci's best song up to date! It's nice, fresh and young, very catchy, and an INTERESTING SONG, which you don't find very often nowadays in pop music... You will enjoy listening to the lyrics of the song, and I think that an a capella version of the title track would be more than welcome in my CD player... :-)

Kaci's very athletic on the vocal department, but does not overdo anything, compared to many singers. The thing about her is that she is very expressive and there is a playful aspect to her voice that makes it unique!

The title track is just awesome, and the remix is up-tempo, but not too clubbish, it could actually be played on the radio!

"Tu Amor" is a very good song that makes an excellent B-side, a little more mature and heartfelt.

The video is awesome, it is a hundred times better than the "Paradise" video! I have received the CD five days ago, and I have watched the video so often that I probably know it by heart by now :-) It is realtively simple a video, but how nice and clever, very funny, and you will be amazed how Kaci can really act! She seems like a funny, down-to-earth, not-give-a-damn-about-anything girl... AND she can sing. Well worth a buy, you will love this even if you are a die-hard fan of Marilyn Manson or a Beethoven connaisseur. Everybody, give it up for Kaci! :-)

International music review Kaci - I Think I Love You
I love this song by Kaci. I first learned about Kaci when I saw her performing this song on Nickalodeon. The first track is nice because the backround music makes me feel happy and I want to get up and dance! I really like the almighty mix!I like it more than the origional! The last song is Tu Amor in spanish. It's ok,but I like it when she sings it in english better because her vocals sound stronger and smoother in the english version. The cd is good and it comes with the video for I Think I Love You!I really like this cd and I think you might to.

International music review 70's Fusion Magic
I saw Airto many times performing live in the San Francisco area in the time period of this albums release. This album came very close to the intense energy of the band live at that time. The inclusion of Hugo Fattoruso, the incredible Ruben Rada, and Raul De Souza make this album along with the long out of print "Promises of the Sun", by far the greatest moments of Airto's recording career. With all due respect to the "Fingers" album, these two have always been my favorites. Sadly we have yet to and may never see the release of the "Promisses of the Sun" on CD. Should it ever re-emerge. Race to buy it as well, Toninho Horta's guitar solos alone make it worth seeking out.

      International music review Magnificent
Words fail to describe this collection, no doubt one of Airto's finest (the world's best percussionist, in case you don't know). Raw, wild, refined, tender. Unlike anything else I've heard. The unrestrained passion (or is it madness?) of Ruben Rada's vocal on Meni Devol is unbelievable. Celebration Suite will lift your spirits and your feet from the floor. Remarkable stuff, and thank the stars it's available on CD now.

International music review Airto's Best Work
This is the first Airto album i was pleased to listen to and it made a change in the way i used to listen to music, one of the greatest fusion albums in the seventies. A great and necessary item to have if you really like music.

International music review WONDERFUL MIX OF SOUND EXPERIENCES
I was familiar with the beauty of Idir's most well-known song from over 20 years ago (A Va Vainouva) and was intrigued to find this disk: it is an exceptionally well-conceived and produced collaboration between Idir and a variety of top European artists. I found it an audio treat, and have been returning to listen again to selected tracks for the last six months! The homage to Mateb Lounes, an assassinated Algerian Kabyle musician and activist, is touching; the harmonies with the Scottish K. Matheson are lovely; the reggae-N.African fusion of "Gnawa Diffusion" is extraordinary. Just about everything else is equally rewarding, despite difficulties with Berber/Arabic/French lyrics. Happy listening! Don't hestitate to give it a try.

      International music review Beautiful Variety
Believe it or not, I learned about Idir from an article in The Economist, which described his music as 'beautiful', and indeed it is. While the sound is always unmistakably Arab, each track features a different guest artist from the usual musical countries like Ireland and west Africa, and the result is quite varied. Excellent stuff! I'll have to make a road trip to Paris to see him in concert.

      International music review Kabylie revisit
A must to have!

      International music review Awesome!
Agnetha Faltskog is the most underrated female vocalist in the world.

People here that she was with ABBA and expect little.

Listen to this CD-ROM and expect a lot, she is great!

International music review blonde angel returns
A perfect interpretation of a song that is way above other versions. It could almost have been written by,or for her.In evidence is Agnetha's plaintive quality to her voice, clear as a bell. The 'Blue' mix sends shivers down my spine, truly one to indulge yourself with, kleenex at the ready.Anyone who's ever experienced rejection or unrequited love, and who hasn't,could relate to this.More please,Ms Faltskog!

International music review Almighty mixes Agnetha!!!!
I am in love with the Almighty remix team- they have done excellent work for Deborah Harry, Cher, Sheena Easton, Anastacia, Diana Ross,LeAnn Rimes,Elton John and so on and so forth. This is the remixes for the single "If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind" that went to number 12 on the UK charts. The single comes with 2 mixes from Almighty: The 12" Vocal Mix (7:11) and the Dub Mix(7:10) that showcase the song and the vocals very well. I am sure most hard core dj's won't play it but it is a beautiful remix. So if you like the remix for "Believe" you will love this mix as well.

      International music review Fantastic!
I simply love the sound of this of this album, and the special edition version is definetly worth the extra money.

International music review Worth the import cost, I promise
I got this album overseas while studying in Ireland, and I adore it. The songs are catchy and fun without being vapid; it's a real mystery to me why the Corrs haven't picked up in the States yet. The real gem of this edition for me, though, is the live renditions on the double CD, especially "Haste to the Wedding," a traditional Irish tune, covered in a way that is true to both the pop and Irish roots of the band. In the words of a friend, the real charm of the Corrs is that their style is "Irish-y, but not too Irish-y." Basically, this is just a very good pop album, showcasing the band's catchy tunes on the main disc and real musical talet on the second.

      International music review Brilliant!
"In Blue" is definitely a retreat from the Corrs' older work, although this factor does not detract the least bit from the true quality of their music on this album. It has a fresh pop sound that is perfect for the American market, but with the second bonus CD from "In Blue: Special Edition" it proves the Corrs are still truly talented musicians to the "core". They write all of their lyrics (except for a few cover songs they've done: i.e., "Dreams", "No Frontiers") They write their own music, play their own instruments, and they *never* lip-synch. They're the real thing! (and, I might add, their good at it)

"Breathless" is the title hit from the album, being rated the number 1 radio hit in the UK for the year 2000. It's got an infectious pop beat, and has virtually broke the Corrs into America, the only country on earth they've failed to conquer. It has even been nominated for a Grammy, as well as track #15, "Rebel Heart". I believe "Breathless" itself is a decent pop song, although it doesn't show the Corrs' real musical genius at all, and neither does "In Blue" as a whole, for that matter. However, the second bonus CD is entirely another story, which features acoustic versions of four songs from "In Blue".

The four acoustical versions of the songs are without studio polishing; it is simply the four siblings who make up the Corrs on their basic instruments. It's much easier with these acoustic versions to pay better attention to the excellence of the lyrics and the melodies than the over-produced studio versions on the first CD of "In Blue".

On the second CD we also have "Love in the Milkyway". It is a bit different than the majority of the songs on "In Blue" but I personally think it's one of their best and it's definitely one of my most favourite Corrs songs. It has a rock-feel to it and the lyrics tell a good story if you read between the lines and catch the few hints here and there. (This is their first CD to date that "Love in the Milkyway" has been released on)

There's also "Looking in the Eyes of Love" written by Tricia Walker and Kostas Lazarides. It's a love ballad, and has a nice easy-going melody that's very romantic indeed. Listen for the Irish sounds throughout, they add a good feel.

On the second bonus CD there's quite a rare gem: Haste to the Wedding, a traditional Irish styled instrumental, which the Corrs have honourably added a modern edge to. It's very catchy, fast, and has a very good melody that's quite infectious. It is a live version recorded from their recent concert in Dublin at Lansdowne Road.

Last but not least, they have included a live version of "So Young", which has been considered by many to be the "Corrs' anthem". This live version of the song has also been taken from their concert at Lansdowne Road. I believe that this live version of "So Young" represents that the band has the ability to support themselves musically at a live show and that they're *NOT* lip-synching phonies.

The bottom line: "In Blue: Special Edition" is near brilliant. It showcases the Corrs' musical ability and originality. It is definitely worth the extra few pound sterlings (or dollars), and you will *not* be dissapointed.

If you like this one, and haven't heard their earlier work, I seriously suggest you do. "Talk on Corners" and "Forgiven not Forgotten" are even better than this one! You won't be sorry you did!!

International music review The hunt ends...
Well, I'm afraid I've no choice but to concur with my fellow reviewers: although I usually prefer the original song over remixes and covers, Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" remix has been that one big exception ever since I first heard it on the FM dial. Sadly, for several years, this was the only way I was able to enjoy it; my quest to obtain a recording of this coveted track was a fairly frustrating undertaking. I eventually found it on vinyl and was treated to a pleasant surprise: the song runs almost twice as long as the edit I'd heard on the radio! Even though just about all of the restored parts are percussion beats and instrumentals, it still rounds out the tune quite well.

But, knowing the limitations of LPs and 12" singles and the inevitable background hiss, skips and pops that would arise from endless playing, and thanks to the miraculous marketplace that is the Internet, I eventually found it on CD single. Now I'm truly happy and at peace... well, at least until the next revolutionary format change anyway, MP3s notwithstanding...

      `Late!

International music review Better than the great original
The original version of this song is great, I find this upbeat version even better - definitely a must for any Phil Collins fan

International music review This version is much better than the great original.
This version of In The Air Tonight is even more haunting than the original. While the original became a classic and an automatic Collins anthem, this more than seven minute remix packs a solid punch. The additional In The Air Tonight remix on this CD is another bonus. Collins fans should have this one!!!

      International music review Another Winner
If there's any validity to the adage that time improves all good things, Juan Gabriel's most recent release, Inocente De Ti, proves it true. The CD arrived in Mexico in January 2004 as Gabriel celebrated his 54th birthday. Time has been good to the Mexican icon, and the quality and variety he offers his fans in this CD illustrate it.
The first couple tracks, including the title track, run a little slow-great Gabriel for when you're in that laid back mood. If you're feeling a little friskier, however, hold on for songs like "Amor Profundo" which is quite unlike what we've heard from Gabriel in the past. Call it big band, call it swing-call it the genius of Gabriel once again treading beyond the confines of the traditional. "Amndote" is another upbeat number as is "Como Te Quiero" whose backup vocals are synthesized. If you yearn for the sounds of Mexico, check out "Idilio."
The most delightfully painful rendition on this CD comes in the form of "Loco Enamorado." Backed up by subdued Mariachi, Gabriel shows that he has not lost his touch in making songs to cry by. "El Fin" is another tune to accompany tears in the tequila. He provides his own vocals in harmony, a feature that is becoming more and more popular with this delightful pop singer.
Even the best can't be perfect and Gabriel has been known to have a few off days-days when his voice reflects the strain of 30-plus years in the music business. There's no off day on this CD. The entire production is top-notch. His renditions are honey-smooth and he demonstrates all of the elements that have made him famous, including the little hiccup in his voice at just the right places.
Gabriel's charismatic showmanship doesn't come across as it does in his finest works, the two live CDs and videos at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, but for a studio production, Inocente De Ti is as good as it gets.
Gabriel is the author of all of the numbers and the lyrics are provided on the insert. The insert also includes a statement of an unsettling nature. He writes (translated from Spanish), "I want to show my appreciation to BMG for their support during all of these years in this, my second to the last project, with them. Juan Gabriel." What could this mean?

International music review Y Aqui Estoy

This is the first CD that I had ever heard by Los Angeles Azules and now they are my favorite group ever. The only problem with this CD is that is too short. Buy this CD it is well worth the money. I promise you won't regret it.

International music review One of the greatest albums of the 90's
Cumbias have never sounded this good before. "Inolvidables" is one of the most influential albums that has come from the 90's. Ever since the release of the first track "Como Te Voy Olvidar" came out there has been an explosion of groups that carry the same sound. If you like cumbias than this is a must have album! I know you will enjoy it as much as I do.

When Greg Ribot's brother, Marc, released his offbeat tribute to Cuban bandleader Arsenio Rodriguez, he pulled off a genuine coup. Ribot's shard-edged guitar fit unexpectedly well with the traditional Cuban rhythms his band played, and the CD was a critical and commercial success. Maybe that's why saxophonist Greg recruited brother Marc to play in his Cumbia del Norte band, which sinks its feet into the cumbia with its collective heart on its sleeve. Greg Ribot's clarinet leads the pack, taking looping solos across the quintet of percussionists as the other Ribot and Francisco Navarro pair guitars to give the songs a stringy, strummy feel and added rhythmic pulse. Hector Zarzuela's trumpet and Luis Lopez's trombone add an even fatter horn riff backing that plays off the band the way Duke Ellington might've dramatized this affair. It's not all roses, with "Hot in the Shade" and its pan pipes aerating the music too much, but "Cowboy Cumbia" sounds delightedly like the brothers Ribot meeting at the crossroads of Cuba and the Wild West. --Andrew Bartlett

International music review Classy, respectful treatment of cumbia
The artists did a great job of capturing the fundamental elements of cumbia while also adding their own jazz 'twist'. Cumbia lovers will instantly recognize the cumbia tracks (9 of 14)as having the heart of cumbia and the soul of jazz. If you want to add something a little different to your cumbia collection or if you are not familiar with cumbia but you like smooth yet lively jazz (latin or not) this is a great cd to buy.

The tracks that are not cumbia provide a sampler of a variety of other South American styles (particularly Andean) mixed with jazz.

      International music review Outstanding!
I purchased this CD after hearing a small piece of it used a bumper music on Denis Prager's radio show.

It's not often that you buy a CD blindly and love each track more than the last.

This CD is music only -- no vocals. It's a little bit of everything: jazz, mambo, salsa.

If you like the Gypsy Kings, or Buena Vista Social Club, you'll LOVE this.

International music review Uniquely beautiful and happy music
After 35 years of listening almost only to classical music, I have embarked on an ear- and mind-opening exploration of other music. This disc has been among the most rewarding. Every piece is tuneful, happy, interesting, and unique. It is hard not to keep listening over and over and over. It is a desert island disc.
