I am a fan of Fulanito and I have to say that the first album was a little bit better. "El Padrino" does have some good tracks. The first 4 tracks are wonderful, especially if you like to dance. If you're a Fulanito fan no matter what, then get this CD.

El Padrino-You can never follow up on an awesome album.

"El Hombre..." was an an awesome album and after that I popped this CD in the car expecting to be blown to bits. But, it was okay. A few too many samples and eclecticism made this album seem to be that the producer was trying too hard instead of relying on the great Latin roots of the last album. Its got Latin, with Italian, with Samba, with Merengue Dance House. It was still a good album, though. Just don't expect the "all-night Latin party" danceability of the last album.

Damn what an improvement! It's a long way from (Step Into My World) although he recycled a track "I Got Tha.." It's a big difference the only thing I can say about this is that it really did'nt appeal to the Hynas(ladies)but that's good news for us Vatos right! He attempted to hit the feminine side with the track called "My Everything" but the album remained on block monster status!

Album of the year!!

Hard beats, hard lyrics, best album of 2004!! Merciless gets overlooked in the talent ridden pool of Vallejo rappers and gets overlooked in the Chicano Rap world since he does not claim a color. Any rap fan should check out Merciless or any of the Funky Aztecs albums. Merciless mixes street lyrics with political topics to make Flesh & Ink a great album.

Ivy is not quite ageless in her musical tendencies and her innovation skills have faded a bit but she still has been the best female reggaeton artist throughout its history and her old stuff still makes the stiffest listeners bob heads. Just for the amount of songs and the amount of quality classics included plus the pretty good and new Cuéntale makes this a pretty good 4 out of 5 star record in this genre. Oh, and about Cali Playa 415's review, throughout his review history (check it out if you're interested why such the strong feelings) he is basically a hip hop fan that is a reggaeton hater and has continually given one-star reviews to the genre's best performing records. The validity and objectivity of his reviews are for you the readers to judge.

Whats really going on with this woman? She must think shes Kim, Foxy, Charli Baltimore, or Roxanne Shante. Those are real female MC's Ivy. Does she even look up to them whenever she drops an album? This LP is total garbage and not worth a dolla. Hey Ivy, you may want to look into another profession such as an adult film start because thats what you look like.

DIS is a surprisingly good album!

wow to be honest buying a best of of an artist really is a good way to test the artist out if ur not dat familiar with them...i had only heard yo Quiero bailar in da clubs nonstop...she sounds unique and unlike most female rappers she has flow..i honestly didnt expect much to my surprise dis album was beyond my exxpectations especially her old pure reggea sttuff "como mujer" is brilliant and despite her makinga strong statement dis song makes u wanna dance all crazy...and da other oldy song "muchos quieren tumbarme" is also good she raps fast on beat and da beat is fast! and as far as her new stuff her radio hits "cuentale" and "te he quierido" are flawless... she unexpectdly does a cover of selenas "si una ves" which is not that great unfortunately but her other good gits ofcourse are "mala" "quiero saber" and "lo la mento " all in all very good album and to those that would like to get a dose of her music should definetly check dis out ...

I thoroughly enjoyed this sophmore effort from Sancho. Lots of good tracks, from his trade mark love songs to harder gangbanging songs. There are a few clunkers tho that are very basic lyrically..they come off as filler songs - instantly forgettable. Considering there are a ton of jams on this record, the inclusion of these 2-3 "filler" songs is confusing..but whatever..I just skip these and enjoy the other 85% of the CD :)~

Definitely recommended - he's still my favorite chicano rapper. No one can match his smooth love songs, such as "Make you mine", "Sancho's Oldie", "Te quiero" and "Do you remember".

If you liked his "True Player" album you'll love this.

Music Labels come and go and place out content to the masses which is at times Xcellent, mediocre, and at times questionable. Chosen Few 3: The Movie is Boy Wonders focus on the main stars of his label and his stance to prove that his New York Based lable is worth every ounce of time like Flow, Mas Flow, WY records, Cartel Records, and many others. I've got to say that Boy Wonder took a Powerhouse which is, GETTO(tempo's Brother), L.D.A. a very promising and sensational dou, Reychesta Secret Weapon(A Lyrical Machine), and Fuego(the labels smooth crooner/rapper) to make a stance in the Latin Urban/Reggaeton Movement and came out with a very good album. The First Two Chosen Few productions showcased the Latin Urban Reggaeton movement as a whole and gave us documentaries and opinions of various artists, it gave us the ability to hear the production values of Boy Wonder and his associates, and gave us very memorable hits over the last few years. On Part 3 the highlights are not the beats but his artists.

Having Getto part of your label is historic because this man represents tempo, in some ways, represents the history of Latin Urban Movement and showcases that he still has Lyrical Potence and is as bad as his brother.

L.D.A.(Orquidella Negra & Baby Psycho) continue showcasing their talents gradually and represent the first Female/Male Dou. On this production they do incredible with their single "Ella Quiere", team up with Jowell & Randy(Hitmakers) to come out with hot track "Entonces Esta Bien", and come out with a hard track "You Can Act Up"

Reychesta Secret Weapon shows his lyrical speed and craftiness all about. This guys is one to watch for the next few years. The content he brings is tough. I believe his craftiest song would be "Me Quieren Arrestar", entertaining and inventive.

Fuego-The smooth crooner/rapper showcases that he is versatile. He throws hints that he maybe able to sing and rap just like Arcangel but he seems to need a lot of work. Regardless the content he brings is decent especially with his Collab with Rick Ross in "Hustlin Time"

The DVD included is a gradual story of the different paths Boy Wonder sends the artists on to collaborate with Urban Artists to make a classic. After the different artists meet A Music Video is given to show the Collab. Boy Wonder wants to show that CHosen Few is not leaving the scene. But Please Keep NORE off cuz this dude swears he did something monumental for Latin Urban/Reggaeton!!! They thrown in some info as to why TEMPO is in jail....

The Album is a different step in this labels direction because I believe Boy Wonder maybe gearing his crew up to drop their own albums. On a scale of 1-10(which is a better scale) I'd give this album an 7.8 This album is not at all bad and has some classic tracks, but a better direction for Boy Wonder would be for him to challenge his team with other Notable reggeaton artists. You look more closely you see Boy Wonder trying to merge Latin Urban with Stateside Urban artists, which is not bad but he didnt feature other Reggaeton Artists. This would have definately given a mental and lyrical boost to his upcoming artists and would definately had given more classic music to this album. Mixture and Fusion is not bad but i feel different styles could have been thrown in here to give this album a perfect 10. Latin Urban/Reggaeton movement is seriously missing the prescence of TEMPO which Chosen Few has stressed on their past albums. TEMPO is pivitol to the whole movement and is recognized and respected as one of the best emcees to ever grace P.R. His Lyrical Equivalent would be, in my opinion, Polaco.....Yin/Yang......FREEEEE TEMPO FREEE TEMPO.

This is a great CD. You will find yourself moving to the music and their hot beats. Even if you don't speak Spanish, you'll find their rhyming hot and catchy.

Shake that thang!

I LOVE this CD. I first heard La Novela down in Mexico and knew I had to have the whole CD. It's been in my CD player ever since! Guallando will make you get up and dance. Indeed, the whole album will get any party jumpin'! Merengue mixed with smooth rhymes and pounding beats will be infectious to anyone!! Get this CD!

this album is hot!

Although I try to keep an open mind to many genres of music, I have to admit that when it comes to Latin music, merengue is one of my LEAST favorite styles. In my collection of salsa, corrido, mariachi, cumbia, joropo. ballad, llanera. samba, pagode and mambo CDs there is barely any merengue...much less any CDs filled with it. Oh, except there is one CD and it's this one. As a music listener, Fulanito breaks down my reserve about the repetitive and---oftentimes, for me--headache inducing beats. I often associate merengue with drunk men in loud suits with even louder cologne!

Fulanito's modern take on merengue's sound and style is original, catchy and naughty all at once. The lyrics are filled with innuendo and are delivered in catchy and sing-songy raps over the backbeat of a techno rhythm, mixed with Latin and Italian influences (the occasional accordeon riffs to remind us of the mafiaso image the band wants to maintain). They also integrate cumbia into their merengue sound on "Merencumbiaso" (Track #3). Some of my favorite tracks on this album are "Mano Fria" (Translation: Cold Hand), "La Novela" (Translation: The Soap Opera), and "Cepillo" (Translation: Comb). It is almost impossible to shake the highly catchy hooks that the tracks open with. It's like a team of Dominican guys decked out in mafia style suits with Panama Hats (Re: See the photo of the fellas on the cover of the album) have spotted you on the dance floor, have grabbed your hands and summoned you to surrender to the beat of the merengue. Irresistable!
